It has to be. Dory is 80.

I'm guessing by age it goes...

    Dory
    Terry
    Garvin
    Flair
    Steamboat

    Maybe Fujinami next?

I thought it was a great show.

It didn't have the big time match like Omega vs Danielson but those are nearly impossible to come by on TV, but the show overall was better for building their future. They started establishing Jungle Boy, Sammy Guevarra, MJF and Darby Allin as the "4 Pillars" of AEW's long term future which comes from All Japan many years ago with Misawa, Kawada, Kobashi & Taue who all started in their dojo system and the next 10+ years of the promotion was built around their rise to the top and their main event runs.

They had two really good TV matches with Cole vs Jungle Boy and Guevarra vs Miro plus the Brodie Lee tribute stuff with his son and the Dark Order was well done. They kept Danielson vs Omega going building to a big 8 man tag next week. Adam Cole already is a huge add and his eventual babyface turn will be even better.

My only negative is why does Jim Ross have to say "Sammy, Sammy, Sammy" like he's saying "Marsha, Marsha, Marsha" when Guevarra's name comes up. It's not part of his character, it's just randomly annoying. Actually I never like the Dan Lambert/Scorpio Sky/Ethan Page segments so add those to the negative. Lambert playing the role of Cornette just doesn't work for me.

Plus next week we get Guevarra vs Bobby Fish.

Actually it was weird hearing CM Punk call a match with Colt Cabana in it, but never once mentioning his name. I guess there is still some heat there.

I finally got to "Extreme Rules". It was not very good. Alexa's doll being torn to shreds looked like a hopeful sign, until "The Demon" started doing spasms on the floor as his heart restarted(?) It left me asking myself, "Why you do watch this crap?"

If you still watch WWE then there's one positive to look forward to, sounds like this was a way to write off Alexa Bliss for a few months while she takes time off to get "Sinus Surgery" aka Rhinoplasty. Maybe they will give her a new gimmick when she returns... highly doubtful since WWE is more entertainment now.

Cornette did raise a good point on one of his recent podcasts saying that Tony Khan should twist one of Vince McMahon's statements around and use it as a polite dig to reign more fans over to AEW: "We are in the Wrestling business, not Sports Entertainment".

I don't get Impact on my cable provider but I watched a few clips online... And it looks amateurish to me. Maybe it's the small crowd, I dunno but I just didn't enjoy it. I haven't seen it since TNA was on TV.

so WWE wants to build their own talent from now on. can i ask an honest question. what are the male wrestlers that are homegrown talent that are still with the company who had a debut from 2015 who are pretty popular?seems most of them from even the last 10 years are gone other than roman reigns

Dark Side Of The Ring. Johnny K-9. Bruiser Bedlam. Jebus. I knew the guy. In fact I know a lot of the people who pop up. I was AT that card in Taylor.
I only worked with Johnny once, but he was one of the guys that was around backstage just hanging out with the boys. The way Cornette, Storm, and Jericho remember him is the way I remember him. I asked him about the "True to the crew" tattoo and asked the same question the guy asked on the show. You know what he said? "I didn't want to run into one of those guys and NOT have the tattoo"
I guess it kind of makes sense. He would drive an hour plus to work for Scott D'more in Windsor or Gary Warenchok in Taylor. Then hang out backstage with us.
This one was close to home. literally.

I was surprised that his SMW run was only nine months. After that it was back to the local indys. He never got any higher.

I wont print the whole article but 77 million dollars for feeding the poor was handed out to the wrong people starting with Brett Favre
Auditor Demands Favre Return $828k In 'Illegally Spent Welfare Funds'

SEVENTY-SEVEN MILLION DOLLARS of money that should have gone to feed needy children and their parents.

Who joined Brett Favre in taking food away from Mississippi's hungry children?

    • Former WWE wrestler Ted Dibiase, Sr., known as “The Million Dollar Man,” who White said must pay back $722,299 that his Christian ministry, Heart of David Ministries, received
    • DiBiase’s son, Ted DiBiase, Jr., a retired WWE wrestler who White said owes $3.9 million
    • DiBiase’s other retired WWE wrestler son, Brett DiBiase, who White said owes $225,950

I can see why the ratings have been sliding for Dark Side Of The Ring, I watched previous 2 episodes last night and they honestly did not interest me much. I had very minimal knowledge of FMW other than a brief summary of Terry Funk and Mick Foley participating with the promotion. Johnny K-9 I remember as the jobber in the WWF and had no clue about his ventures afterwards other than remembering the news reports of the bombing incident in Sudbury.

I am looking forward to the Luna Vachon episode tonight and the season finale with the WWF Steroid Scandal, don't think I will bother watching the XPW episode as the extreme wrestling content does not interest me at all and that seems to be the big pitfall of Season 3 overall.

I think you can only have so many garbage wrestling stories for the Dark Side Of The Ring series and I think they have exceeded the maximum. Also, for some of these a full hour is too much time when 30 minutes would cover the story.

I can't believe in the FMW/Onita one they left out Onita going to Puerto Rico and doing a stabbing angle with Jose Gonzalez. That was a low moment in wrestling.

They should do one on the Briscos double crossing Ole Anderson and selling their shares of Georgia Championship Wrestling to Vince which got the WWF on TBS and was a big key to the downfall of the territories.

You could do one on wrestling's long history of race baiting angles. It's not specific to one, but you have plenty of them to run with.

Go out of your way to see Bryan Danielson vs Minoru Suzuki from the AEW Rampage Buy In show that was on YouTube tonight. It was a PPV main event quality match.

I watched the Luna Vachon episode of Dark Side Of The Ring last night. Pretty sad to hear her story, I was unaware of all of the mental issues she was suffering through. Looks like another tragic tale of a wrestler brought into the biggest promotion at the wrong time and ultimately misusing her talents. She definitely would have thrived in the industry today at her peak.

Mick Foley has the best overview of Luna. He made me cry. She absolutely deserved to have that eulogy.

I did end up watching the XPW episode of Dark Side Of The Ring last night. A few pretty interesting stories but some of the content was re-hashed (New Jack vs Vic Grimes scaffold match). I just don't understand the current fascination and glorification of the indie death match promotions, if anything these shows are making them look even more embarrassing then when they were originally broadcast. I'm looking forward to the season finale next week with the steroid scandal and from there I guess we will have to wait and see if Dark Side gets renewed for one more season.

On a side note, I didn't realize the Reggie Parks passed away this month. The Winged Eagle was the pinnacle title belt and I still wish the WWE kept using it.
