ILYBIL premiered on a Thursday and was available the following Friday. Duran Duran also premiered on Zoe Ball and was available simultaneously on all platforms. I'm confident we'll have it on Friday worst case scenario.
There's another thread where a poster uses pics from Tumblr. I can't see them. So I understand what he means.
I'm sorry if you're not able to see it. I'm somewhat new to the forum and it's my first time trying to post a picture here. The info is: YOUR SKULL'S A DRUM. Writers: Mark Crew, Roland Orzabal, Curt Smith, Dan Smith. Perfomer: TEARS FOR FEARS
Never really paid attention to the other members of TFF names. Are Dan & Mark from the original line up? Is Dan, Curt's brother?
I believe this is the same songwriting team from ILYBIL. Mark Crew and Dan Smith are the producers behind most of Bastille songs and also some modern acts like Louis Tomlinson.
What's ILYBIL? So they're pairing up with modern songwriters ... wonder what that'll do to the signature TFF sound?
I Love You But I'm Lost is their 2017 single which was pulled from the new album at the time. The song was used in a compilation they released that same year instead:
Didn't care for that one. Very forgettable. Too much going on there ... Thought that was a song they weren't happy with and definitely weren't happy that the record company put on the GH? Maybe I'm remembering wrong or half making it up. Lol.
They did say they were surprised at the choices, didn’t feature in the video and didn’t play either of the new songs on the U.K. tour named after that new greatest hits album. At the time, I thought it was due to turmoil behind the scenes but perhaps it’s true they don’t like them. It’s likely those songs will be erased from canon.
Roland and Curt said they wiped the slate clean and while some of the “old” writing sessions songs may creep their way onto the new album. Song writing credits don’t necessarily mean a release of that song.
Song snippet here! Sorry, it's a Facebook video again. Just some spooky keyboards, it sounds like something from Elemental! It is tagged with "#thetippingpoint tomorrow" Log into Facebook
Note he didn't say it was the world premiere of the new single, but "the first commercial radio station play", so MAYBE it'll be available at midnight on streaming platforms.
True that! Usually they make such a big deal of the world premiere of a new song. Just seems kinda weird.
