from what I read today of the latest instalment (out shortly) it also continues with Jason following her to the hospital.

 

Jolson Sings Again" - Takes up where "The Jolson Story" ended.

 

Though they don't end and begin exactly at the same point, Return of the Pink Panther ends with Dreyfus (Herbert Lom) committed to an insane asylum and The Pink Panther Strikes Again begins with Dreyfus about to be released from the asylum three years later.

 

Could it be argued that From Russia With Love is a direct continuation from Dr. No? Sure, there's a new adventure, but part of the plot at least indirectly involves Spectre/Blofeld seeking revenge on Bond for killing Dr. No. And Bond continues his fling with Sylvia Trench, whom we met in Dr. No.

 

What about also the two movies with the redneck sheriff (Live and Let Die and The Man with the Golden Gun)?

 

Does Star Wars Episode IV count? It picks up right where Rogue One ends.

One of several issues I have with Dracula's Daughter is that while it takes place in the days following Dracula at he climax everyone piles into a car and books it up to the castle without breaking a sweat. It seems like those 2 long, unsettling carriage rides made by Renfield were completely unnecessary. I wonder if limousine service was available?

 

The "Evil Dead" series does that - cliffhangers and flashbacks are redone, because they couldn't keep the rights to the previous films.

 

Looking like "Halloween Kills" will go straight from the end of "Halloween" (2018)

 

The Richard Donner cut of Superman II. The original idea was that at the end of part 1, the missile Superman threw into space would explode the Phantom Zone and let the villains out, and they would be the last shot of the movie as a cliffhanger. So I think his cut recaps the end of part 1 and moves the explosion of the Phantom Zone by that missile to the beginning of part II.

 

The Thing prequel ends where John Carpenter’s the Thing begins.
