I love the way the new book maintains the flavour of the original 1969/70 book - down to the way it presents the dialogue - but also adds enough info so you know where you are in the proceedings.

 

1970 book .. check it out, it’s a beaut.

Hence my reluctant decision to pass. At best I might only read it the once, but the forthcoming DVD will be a different matter.

I personally don't see the point in devoting an entire book to conjecture.

 

I can’t watch a video where they go page by page through a book I plan to buy. Would like to be surprised a little at least. The page by page type of videos totally ruined Moby Dick for me!

 

Spoiler: The band comes back in after the lengthy drum solo.

1970 book with a 1969 copyright.

 

Would have been too wild if this year's model was a 2021 book with a 2020 copyright.

(Couldn't tell from the page-by-page clip, but assume is (c) 2021.)

 

The 2020 version was the expanded version, 2021 edited / shorter .. but cheaper.

 

14 months after ordering it on Amazon, the book is shipping today !

Any photos yet of the extras that come with the editions sold by Costco (fold out photo of some kind) and Target (lobby cards)?

 

Yes, I just checked my email and my book will arrive later today ( Tuesday) .
I have the original book that came with the album, and will have this new book and the book that comes with the new CD set.

That should cover me regarding Get Back/Let It Be for awhile.

To make this new book more nostalgic and true to the original era, I hope the pages fall out of this one like the one that came with the album.

 

My Target order switched to "backordered" so I canceled and went to my local Target to pick it up. Wasn't on shelf yet, but an employee grabbed one for me in the back. Shrinkwrapped, probably to hold the lobby cards in it. Waiting til after work to peek.

 

My new estimated delivery date is now Oct 26

I ordered the book so long ago that it's being delivered today to the house I used to live in. I get to play porch pirate for my own package.

 

Just received my copy from Amazon UK. It's a big coffee table type book. I've skimmed through it, plenty of full page photo's. Once read I can't imagine too many folk going back to it too many times.

 

Know it’s off topic slightly but I’ve just seen the book in the vinyl box set, that looks amazing and will probably do me.
