    Love the trailer. Love it.

Fingers crossed for the 18 hour director's cut. :)

As if I needed any more reason to be excited for this, that trailer was great, it looks beautiful and the lads are charming and entertaining as always. It really does look like this could have been filmed this year. Can’t wait.

So now people can stop worrying that the movie will be sanitized of the tensions within the band. George quits and Yoko adressed even in the trailer.

I read a comment someone posted on YouTube about the new trailer that said they can’t believe it still looks like 80’s b movie vhs quality… I don’t really know what it will take to satisfy some fans lol

Yes, but there's a scene with George smiling, so the whole thing's a whitewash!

The narrative that they overlay reminds me of a modern reality show, which is by no means a bad thing in this context. The calendar, the meeting with George, breaks the whole thing down in a way that’s easy to grasp for fans, old and new. I love it

Is that one shot of George smiling and closing a door them going upstairs from the basement studio or them going up to the roof? Won't it be cool as eff if we actually get to see that fabled moment when, after all of them hesitating about going through with it, John says, "Eff it!" and up they go!

The trailer is great, but the picture quality certainly isn't. Film, especially old film has graining, let it show. I hope it is mostly caused by Youtube compression, but it seems far too much use of de-noising filters and contrast boosting to compensate for the de-noising has left the picture looking unnatural.

Things are getting very serious here.

This is the most important Beatles release since Anthology and, maybe, the most important release since their last album together.

    Excited! Disney+, here I come !! :nauga:

The trailer looks FAB! The film now has much more interesting storyline as well - can The Beatles pushed to the brink come out on top? (and they literally do on the rooftop!)

Knowing that the cameras weren’t always on or focused on the right person, it will be interesting to see how Peter Jackson weaves through the story and takes us from Twickenham to the rooftop in 6 hours!

Completely agreed, it's a clear enough image but it looks muddy and overly smooth. I have the same issue with the "Help!" Blu-ray; it almost doesn't look like film. (AHDN has been treated beautifully in comparison!)

One interesting observation is the use of the produced "Let it Be" in the trailer.

Grain can be a valid aesthetic choice, but how natural is grain?

I also thought that. Oh well. I'm sure I'll still enjoy the hell out of it.

It's also possible they gave the trailer an extra pass because grain and picture quality varies wildly throughout and they needed the trailer to hold together better.

I have just seen the trailer. AMAZING. I need to process this properly and view it numerous times. That shot of Paul walking through the door on to the roof has stayed with me, along with the shot of John shouting 'Yeah!' into the mic. Awesome. See...I told y'all the project was in good hands with Peter Jackson. :agree: This is going to be GREAT.

A revelation. How did John's brightly coloured striped shirt remain hidden from view for fifty years? ;)
