This would be my choice. Lots of good hit singles to choose from, but Eli's Coming is the best. Love the interesting piano riffs going on behind the vocals, too, which I presume were done by Gabriel Mekler?

There's a Steve Hoffman mastered version of Eli's Coming available on the MCA compilation Vintage Music Vol 10. (Vols 9-10 on CD).

Best songs depend on mood a lot and vary. But "Mama Told Me Not To Come" is the best song ever about a party.
Plus the D.J.s always got caught by that last late note.

Ok, a Youngbloods song, but I like this version a lot.

All 3 with a verse, a lecture that is always with us

and Floyd's best demonstration of his masterpiece ghost beats, not a clue how did this shuffle the first minute, it involves using the left stick to hit the hi-hat and snare simultaneously

I gotta go with Joy To The World.

Maybe it's a bit cliché, but it has a lot of sentimental resonance with one of my sons. :righton:

I'm not familiar with their entire catalog, but I would guess that Eli's Comin's is their best song.
But since their recording is inferior to L Nyro's, I'm going with Out In the Country.

For me it's probably a tie between "Easy To Be Hard" (that one is a goose-bump raiser) and "Out In The Country" (a beautiful song with environmental overtones). Re: "Liar", I bought that 45 in 1971 when I was 15 and still dig it quite a bit.
