Actually, you usually end up ahead still as GST (which is added) is less than VAT (which is deducted).
And the 3 CD Toy box is $55.99 compared to JBs $135! https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09HCG...olid=1BVJFZIKQ6BJO&psc=1&ref_=gv_ov_lig_pi_dp
Ah that's what I'd assumed happened. So VAT deducted as always, but now GST added so there's a sweet spot between the two
Well I can no longer purchase anything from Amazon UK. They will not send to my address, I assumed that was all of Australia? There are some UK companies that don’t discount the VAT and only companies that export over $75k to Australia are required to collect GST for items under $1000 so if you shop around you still don’t need to pay VAT or GST! The stinger is shipping costs have gone through the roof!
Yes I'd thought that to be the case. Maybe it's Amazon US that will ship to Australia? Ive also noticed that some items listed on Amazon AU are actually sent from UK anyway. So why can't they just send direct? I did a test to see if I could order from Amazon AU to UK. That wasn't possible as I'd expected, although the item actually shipped from Amazon UK. Funnily enough the Amazon AU was actually a bit cheaper after converting A$ to £ Sterling. So nothing really makes sense does it?
Amazon UK won't ship to my PO Box address (default address) but they will let me checkout if I change the address to my work address during checkout. And then of course I have the option with AusPost to redirect to my PO Box once in transit. So as far as I have experienced - it's just PO Boxes they won't ship to for me.
Do you mean Amazon UK when ordering through Amazon AU or can you order direct from Amazon.co.uk? I haven't found a way to order direct from Amazon.co.uk at all but if this is a workaround, it might be impactful on my wallet
Oh...I may have misunderstood the original statement. But no - I mean ordering through Amazon AU for products from Amazon UK. I do miss the days where you could shop direct through UK though.

It was on top of the Amazon AU bestseller list earlier today or yesterday for around $155 from a 3rd party seller. I didn't pay attention to who it was. I just thought that's probably about the mark it will end up on Amazon here. You can get it on DeepDiscount.com for USD$131.65 delivered to Australia. That includes a 10% off promotion. Use promo code: PLUNGE (It still works, I just tried it). BTW, Amazon has already undercut their pre-order prices on the book and 4LP set after the pre-order cut-off and before they've sent out the pre-orders...
It's also on eCrater for $139.98 incl. delivery Let It Be Super Deluxe - Box Set, 5 CD Good price but I'd proceed with caution. I've not heard of them before and a quick search of reviews does not inspire confidence. eCrater, not the Beatles that is hehe
