The good thing about this is they are repeating some of the BBC In Concert shows that haven't been shown in years. I've had my fill of music documentaries! Hopefully they'll use the BBC library well rather than just showing shows made in the last few years over and over.
I’m guessing you mean The Old Grey Whistle Test shows that are currently being repeated. Last week it was Dr. Hook. Friday, it’ll be a Kinks 1977 performance. Next Friday, Linda Ronstadt from 1976.
That's not entirely a bad thing given that, not only has the BBC got a wonderful archive, but they can also, as before, broadcast non-BBC productions such as the Zappa documentary last week, which, as far as I am aware, had not been shown in the UK before.
I wasn't feeling this 1977 Kinks concert on BBC Four now, but then they played Celluloid Heroes. Beautiful.

(Groundhog Day: we had the same exchange three weeks ago. I might be missing something but why post links to pages that contain no scheduled future broadcasting times?)
I wouldn't mind seeing some Rock Goes to College repeats, although I doubt the beeb will ever air The Stranglers episode! 4:3 aspect ratio as well, not some cropped faux 16:9. I caught many of them, but there's quite a few that I missed at the time as well. Rock Goes to College - Wikipedia I know some episodes have had DVD releases. There's probably some on the likes of Youtube but those are probably VHS/Betamax quality.

I think this must be one of the most-repeated music docs on Sky Arts ever. Good stuff though. Created for an American market perhaps, as a lot of the latter songs were US-only singles which meant little over here. EG.
It certainly does. I've seen the first part of that 'Soundbreaking' episode about technology about three times now. Only the first part though, 'cos it's always on at about two in the morning and I always fall asleep before the end. Those 'Classic Artists' documentaries on the Moody Blues and Yes get regular airings and I'd seen that Alice Cooper documentary that was on last night before too. (the Yes one is probably worth avoiding though, the interviewed band members are way too fond of using adjectives such as "innovative" and "groundbreaking". Inflated sense of my own self-importance? Moi?)

Tonight BBC4 has the Simon & Garfunkel Central Park concert from 1981 and also The Old Grey Whistle Test of Linda Ronstadt in concert at the New Victoria Theatre, London from 1976!
If anyone is watching the Simon and Garfunkel concert for the first time, take a second to take on board what happens when Paul is singing The Late Great Johnny Ace, a song that reflects on the murder of John Lennon a few months earlier just a short distance from where the concert was held!
