And it seems to sound really bad according to one of the reviews: “The worst recording i’ve ever heard. I can only assume this has been made for playing on the radio or nothing more than background music. Mr Buble has one of the smoothest voices around but sadly has been let down appallingly by his engineers. No dynamic range, no ambience, poor string tone & just the voice popped on the top of the cake.”

 

I actually picked this up a couple of months ago, this is not the Hoffman mastering but it is cut by Kevin Gray. It's a quality reissue but not as good as the recent box set or the genuine Hoffman mastered

OK, thanks. If I've got the Discogs listing right it says it's remastered by Steve Hoffman/Kevin Gray?

The Amazon says it is the 2007 release but that's not right it is definitely this one.

This arrived today. I know this has happened to others but in a new low for me, Amazon AU in their infinite wisdom slapped the postage sticked directly onto the box set and that's how it arrived. No shipping box, nothing.
What goes through the brain of an Amazon warehouse worker to stick a postal label onto a large music box set and send it bare? (It's a rhetorical question)
I've had toilet paper sent better protected than this.
Having said all that it's actually not too bad. The postage label was annoyingly very difficult to get off the shrink though.

 

even if they thought it was an actual ghetto blaster, you'd put it in a box; or a paper bag?

 

I’ve had it happen from overseas Amazon but not Amazon au…very troubling

I hope they send it in a box! actually, it does come in a manufacturer's box, but still, we quite reasonably expect our box sets to come in an Amazon box too.

When it was last under $100 I was moving house and I had no idea where I'd be if they took ages to deliver it. This time I grabbed it.

 

I don't think you'll regret it - it's very well done and the previously unheard tracks are mostly good to fantastic.

 

At the last low price I convinced some friends they needed it.

still $8 higher than last year, but I think we all agree those halcyon days are gone gone gone....

 

Something rather odd has happened with an Amazon order - I ordered two items from Amazon USA to get over $49 for free shipping, but they were posted separately two days apart. One came last week via Australia Post, but the other seems to be stuck and is coming via Amarex, which Amazon Au are still calling Fastway. I think it's the first time I've had two different postal companies delivering the same order!
