Plaid Room records deals

  1. I grabbed some stuff too - AP 45s of Pines of Rome and Ella and Louis, an ECM release of Sam Rivers' Contrasts, Albert Ayler's New Grass, and Soul Brothers by Ray Charles and Milt Jackson. I'm a sucker for a good discount!

Very surprised they offered a discount on Mofi, etc. since they don't charge an arm & leg for them to begin with. Can't wait to give Son of Schmilsson a try.

I'm so happy, I just had to share with other vinyl lovers who prefer their records to arrive in perfect condition quickly !
Sunday I ordered the KG cut of Cash's debut With His Hot And Blue Guitar, today, Tuesday noon, I'm playing it !!!!

My shipping choice was UPS Ground. Second option after the dreaded Media Mail, yet cheaper than the third option Priority Mail.

Last night my son asked me to find him the just released vinyl for DMX's final album. Again Plaid Room had the best price, so I ordered around 10:30 pm. This morning I woke up to the UPS shipping notice for it !

    Love these guys !!!

Can't always count on Bull Moose Jackie boy. Esp. when the prices are consistently higher, and/or items I want are out of stock.

Their customer service is second to none as well. Sarah is fantastic to work with if you ever encounter any issues.

Grabbed the recent 3/1/69 GD Fillmore box, $66 with the discount. Their inventory seems pretty picked over unfortunately, but still plenty of good stuff available. Lots of in stock Rhino AAA rock reissues and lots of Blue Note stuff which they already sell bellow MSRP so you really can’t go wrong with an extra 15% off.

Grabbed some speakers corner and pure pleasure titles since they were still at original msrp of 34.99 and with the 15% made them an even more no brainer:

William Bell - Soul of A Bell
Harold Vick - Dont Look Back
    Shamel Farrah - First Impressions
    Cecil Payne - Zodiax
Thelonious Monk - Its Monks Time
    Roland Kirk - Blacknuss

Their damaged records are also a great deal. Usually a bump or a nick or a crushed corner but nothing crazy. You can search ‘damaged’ and get all of them.

I picked up a couple of damaged LPs. We’ll see what they look like when they arrive.

I have purchased 15 "damaged" LPs from PlaidRoom so far, about 2-3 of them had dinged corners or a crease, the rest I have been hard-pressed to find the said "damage" ...as usual ymmv!

Yeah I have had this experience too. The absolute WORST I received had a crumpled corner. Most look basically spotless.

Have it all across various FTD CDs, but I prefer vinyl, so I thought I'd get a kick out of hearing it on my old vinyl rig.
    My favorite era of Elvis.

It isn’t the RSD, but a Euro import pressing. A great deal nonetheless.
