I got a new car six months ago and I lamented the lack of cd player but once I copied Flac files to a high capacity USB drive I haven't missed a CD player. Still need the CDs to rip to Flacs.

I ordered three John Prine records during the October, 2020 Target B2G1 sale. They shipped but didn't arrive and I got a full refund. Now, more than a year later, they've shown up at my door, with a mailing label dated Oct. 13, 2020. Thanks, UPS Surepost!

Wow, that's pretty incredible, lol! Were the records and jackets ok?

I haven’t listened to the records yet, but the jackets are a little dinged up. If I’d paid for them I’d probably exchange them, but as a weird surprise I can’t complain. The shipping box is completely trashed, though.

It's back next week (November 7th - November 13th). No music again. Includes video games, books, movies, and board games (Mix and Match). It might be a good time to pick up the Beatles Get Back book if you can find two other items with a similar price. The Target exclusive version is $42. "Each copy of this TARGET EXCLUSIVE edition contains 4 lobby cards, one of each member of the band, and will be enclosed in a sealed package adhered to the inside back cover. These lobby cards are reproductions of the original lobby cards used for the 1970 film, "Let It Be.""

Do you think they aren't doing the music anymore because the majority of their stock is their deluxe/exclusive releases?

Maybe they just don’t consider it worth including, since most Target stores barely have a physical music section anymore (if they sell any at all). It’s only vinyl, and even that is only 5-10 titles in my experience. Sure, there’s the website selection, but they might be hesitant to advertise a sale for something that’s relegated to the online store.

I for one, have just about reached my lifetime limit on the amount of vinyl I will buy. And the one thing the vinyl revival sort of ruined is the ability to walk into a record store and browse a large quantity of used vinyl in a linear fashion by artist. Now it is all reissues, most of which sound like garbage.

Been there, done that - audiophile masterings are not exactly noted for their breadth and diversity of material. I can only buy the same classic rock and jazz reissues so many times.

Sounds like you need better record stores.

Happy to be wrong about my prediction, although I’ll probably have to bow out of this one with all the preorders I’ve made recently.

Using your points to make a purchase is not maximizing them. Getting cash back to your credit card is maximizing them. Then use the card to make the new purchase. That way you get 5% cash back. If you buy with points, you don't earn anything additional.
