    Yamaha as 2200

So at the moment the 590axii is in my main room and the as2200 is in my 2nd room.

Through my journey of amps I can say that hearing an amp in your room with your speakers is of incredible importance......I understand that is not very easy to do, but if you are thinking of an amp, a trial at your house is the best way to go.

And I'm done amp shopping. Yes, yes, I know how that sounds...but unless I get new speakers, I'm happy

Started using four column speakers, thus different amps for the panels and woofers and the somewhat eclectic list.

Monty, There is an edit button that you can use, but I think it only last for a certain period of time and then you are stuck with what you posted.

I liked it....at the time I wanted to incorporate subs and it doesn't have any pre outs to accommodate that. I believe that was the reason I moved it on. But it's a nice integrated, and it's a perfect match for the Sony Hap-Z1ES.

My amp history is a bit up and down, and I'm probably now in a similar part of the market as to where I started off in the 1970s...

Pioneer SX-636 receiver (lovely unit but needed to use Loudness button)
JVC JA-S44 amp (nice meters but needed to use built-in equaliser or Loudness button)
NAD 3020 amp (maybe a downgrade in terms of price and power, but a more solid sound)
Pioneer A400 amp (wonderful solid sounding amp)
Audiolab 8000A amp (didn't care for its gritty sound and it soon broke down)
Marantz PM-66SE KI Signature amp (much cleaner, crisper sound)
NAD Viso Two receiver (gorgeous looks and dynamic sound but a touch unrefined)
Yamaha A-S300 amp (solid sound with nice dynamics)
Yamaha A-S501 amp (highly dynamic and detailed sound with great clarity)

More than I care to think about. Part of the excess is due to the fact that for a number of years I was bi-amping some VMPS speakers, and could never find the right combo. Another factor is that I like aspects of both tube and solid state, and so have bounced back and forth, sometimes rebuying the same brand/model. Finally, some for second systems, some when I went integrated when the kids were little, or just because I like to experiment. Yeah, I had a "thing" for counterpoint there for a while, but quality control eventually drove me away. McCormack also (but great quality). Been climbing up the PrimaLuna ladder lately, but we'll see if the Decware on order displaces it. In reverse order:

Decware Zen Torii MK V (on order)
    PrimaLuna EVO 300
    PS Audio Stellar S300

My first amp was an XAM receiver I bought from Korvettes dept store. Years later I owned a Proton receiver, 25 wpc. Today I still use my Creek 5350 SE integrated amp which I've had for the last 20 years.

I'd build a big, tall amp with caps by the dozen
Right in the middle of the house
WE 300B with Yamamoto sockets below
There would be two output transformers wound with silver in the UK
Amorphous core for those who care
And one sitting idle just for show.....
