And just three weeks after helping John record 'Instant Karma' George was back at Abbey Road with Ringo recording 'Gotta Pay Your Dues', later retitled 'It Don't Come Easy'. But we have no idea why! It certainly wasn't intended for Ringo's 'Sentimental Journey' and they seem to have had no plans to release it as a solo Ringo song (though of course that happened a year later). Were they still thinking that it might be a Beatles release? Were they hoping that Paul and/or John would add some vocals or instrumental overdubs later? And we thought February 1969 was a mystery session!

 

Cheers, though in an hour I'll be happily occupied watching Get Back (dir. Peter Jackson), when I think it releases. Will watch your review some point later!

The Beatles: Get Back review – eight hours of TV so aimless it threatens your sanity

 

I had to stop watching because of all the smoking. I just couldn’t take it anymore.

 

I’m assuming that The Guardian will also post a 5 star review at some point. They have a habit of posting positive and negative reviews for the same releases

Does Get Back feature side interviews from modern times? For example, our current Paul, Ringo, Yoko...you know, those little Ken Burns-style interview bits?
