This is one of those songs -- see "Like I Used To" by Sharon Van Etten & Angel Olsen -- where the tune is so perfect that I almost want them to never release anything again. It's a hard trick to wrap horny silliness in a charming confectioner's glaze, but Wet Leg have nailed it.

Well, that is just delightful! And the video perfectly matches the deadpan silliness of the song.

Oh and love the videos. Aldous Harding Pastiche as done by Flight of the Concords. Excellent.

I posted the video for the Chaise Longue single in the best song you've heard today thread a while back after it started getting play on BBC6Music.

I'd say this new tune is even better. Love it.

They're doing a wee club gig up my way at the end of this month but I won't manage it. Hopefully a full tour will follow at the beginning of next year.

yep, this song has been stuck in my head for about a month. i walk around the house saying to no one in particular, "is your muffin buttered? would you like us to assign someone to butter your muffin?"

They were on Jools Holland yesterday:

    …unfortunately it’s a stylised semi-video rather than a live-in-the-studio kind of thing.

I was very disappointed by the second single but still hoping they have a great album in them.

Just stumbled across this band - one of the great aspects of YouTube is the artists you stumble across.

Can't wait for an album from them

I don’t need no dating app
To tell me that I look like crap
To tell me if I’m thin or fat
To tell me should I shave my rat

lol they tread a fine line between terrible and genius but I love all three songs so far.

I agree, but the deadpan delivery and the fact that the songs are catchy with just enough edge makes it work for me. I'm definitely buying tickets for the Chicago show.

Why terrible? It’s meant to be playful and silly, surely.
