Not quite true. There are some higher end BD/Universal disc players that offer it. Most major companies stopped putting analog outputs on the cheaper and mid-priced models though.

Since the box with all three boxes was $18 on Amazon Day (and this box was around this price), I imagine most people already have it.
I've managed to resist. The cover image of a spacesuited Garth watching his fans asphyxiating on the lunar surface is just too disturbing.
Spend $12.50 on that box set or buy a burrito, soft drink and two tacos instead? I know which choice is getting my hard-earned pesos.
I'm still staring at this sealed box of Garth Brooks LP's wondering why I bought it. 7 Lp's, one a triple live LP, all analog (I think), 7 CD's with bonus tracks, nice box, exclusive artwork for $12.50. I mean, nothing against ol' Garth, but man, why can't other artists put together packages like this?
Mechanical royalties and manufacturing costs on a package like that are more than $12.50. That's why other artists can't do it. Garth can't do it, either. Either Amazon bought these outright and is taking a bath, or Garth Brooks' record company is taking the bath. But someone is losing money.
