Sorry to hear. That's terrible. If you live in a major city have you considered having packages delivered to an Amazon blue parcel locker. They put one in in my local shopping centre recently and I get all my stuff delivered there. I pick everyting up on the way home from work.
As far as I can tell, the item won't show as in stock until it is returned to Amazon AU and put back in their system. The support chat people seem pretty limited in what they can do, apart from issuing partial or full refunds. I've re-ordered it from Amazon UK with express shipping, to hopefully get it here before xmas, as it's a present. Amazon support will give me a refund to cover the difference in price, but not until the 2nd order arrives, which is a bit annoying. People on a tight budget would just be screwed in this situation.
Very interesting - an 85 CD singles box set? PS. I haven't opened my France Gall box set - I've got a funny feeling that is not going to be my favorite flavor of foie gras
I love Sylvie but she started out as a human jukebox and by the mid 70's she was all over the place. The smartest thing she did was married Johnny Hallyday which gave her assess to British songwriters/producers Tommy Brown and Mick Jones (the guy from Foreigner) which put her at the toppermost of the poppermost. From about 1964 to 1970 she's untouchable.
I'm in regional Victoria and have all my Amazon purchases sent to a parcel locker at my local post office. Costs nothing and is only a couple of kilometres away.
Great clip , she is the quintessential 1960's French singer, but I am not sure I could get through an entire LP!
Her La Maritza album (from 1968) was arranged by Jean Claude Vannier, three years before he did Historie de Melody Nelson. It's like a psychedelic cabaret album. It's actually worth buying for the cover alone!!

The Five CD box set is great value if you are a fan - why do Amazon reviewers endlessly crap on about sound quality of live recordings? What do you expect for the price? And if you are a genuine fan (which I am not), you would be glad to get your hands on any live recordings of the band
