Just when I thought that Black Gold was the only Hendrix release that I could possibly look forward to.
The other day I posted I was boycotting future Hendrix releases until Albert Hall came out.My principles lasted 48 hours. The 4cd version of this is instant preorder.
Take my $$$$$$$$$ now,i have been waiting a long time for this.I'm sure there will be lot's of material from the 5 disc Black Gold Box i picked up a few years for a bargain price.Hopefully with better sound and more new music to enjoy. I would imagine much of the music on this box would be included in this new Sony Box.Maybe not just music from Electric Ladyland, but other music recorded there. Jimi Hendrix – Black Gold (1996, CD)
It appears to be some kind of First Rays era set judging from the songs listed in the booklet above. Frankly, after the lazy cash grab they did with the mighty Electric Ladyland, I'll be approaching this one with caution. . .
You can see the full track list on the Amazon page, though, and on first glance it doesn’t appear to disappoint. In fact, this seems to be an instant purchase based on the fact that we’re finally getting “Heaven Has No Sorrow” and studio versions of “Midnight Lightning,” alone. This essentially seems like a super deluxe version of First Rays of the New Rising Sun, though only including tracks recorded at Electric Lady Studios.
Just zooming in on the page of the open book in the picture, there are three titles visible showing."Ezy Rider","Valleys Of Neptune" and "Straight Ahead" parts 1 & 2 .So this is clearly more than just the sessions for the "Electric Ladyland" album.
Full track list is at the @mazon link Wasn’t the studio “Midnight Lightning” released on something officially already? War Heroes?
I didn't say anyone said it was! It was just my statement, seeing the songs i mentioned.I still haven't seen any link here with the full track listing. But i can see three songs that are on it from the pic posted.

Thanks!! Now "i can see clearly now" as that old song goes What's odd is there is still so much from the actual Electric Ladyland sessions that are on the Black Gold box i mentioned, not on this box.I would love to have a legitimate issue of those. Like some of the songs from EL listed here and this is just some of the songs, there are 3 more disc. But maybe some of these were recorded at the Record Plant and not Electric Ladyland.
That disc 11 track listing looks sketchy, but could it be that the other discs feature several takes/versions, hence the fewer tracks listed?
