Watched a 2 part doc on Tom Clancy and Red October.
Never knew it was based on possible? actual events.
Scary times back then with the threat of nuclear war constantly arising through similar tense events.

The Kings-Showtime. if you like boxing at all or lived through the glory era of the '80's you'll love this. might be my best doc of '21. four parts focusing on Hagler, Hearns, Leonard, and Duran and the "tournament" they staged over many years delivering classic fights amongst themselves. current interviews add a lot to the memories of some of the greatest fights ever seen. not to be missed.

I've posted this before but it is still great.

Frontline - "The Warning", from 2009 about the root cause of the 2007/2008 Financial Meltdown.
It is about a Alan Greenspan Ayn Rand, Robert Rubin, and a brilliant woman, Brooksley Born that realized and then predicted the meltdown of the US financial system, in 1997, 10 years before it happened. And was quickly proved right by the collapse of Long Term Capital Management 1998.

I'm interested in knowing more about Robert Stigwwod. His album are one of the finest sounding pressings especially going to the late 70's. Most of the SQ releases are Wow!
I don't have HBO. Do they have this on rental?

Yes, it was a very interesting show. It's an HBO Anthology series production & new, not an earlier series, so I don't think it's available on rental (though not sure what's meant by rental). It is also concurrently streaming on HBO Max. That's all I know.
