comment on orange Low, interesting that the mastering version is not confirmed in the news... should be 2017 of course

Several of the retailer listing blurbs I've seen are giving the 2017 date for mastering
Same mastering as the 2017 box set's, I believe, with the B3 / A1 etched in the runout matrix

It's been going on for a couple of years now. It's a funny format for sure. I know some people that loved to buy random mix tapes on fleamarkets and put them on at parties.

Any format is called the worst when a new one shows up, it is how most of the economy works.

that's cool, not everyone can or should spend 300 bucks to enjoy music.

side note : I actually play my cassette of Raw Power that I made in the 80's regularly, as I never liked any CD version of it.

Lovely talk by Tony Visconti about the making of Low and Weeping Wall in particular. Believe it or not ...new story and even more unbelievable is the fact he doesn't even mention the harmonizer nor foo king with the fabric of time.

Now give us a proper Low anniversary release instead of the coloured vinyl tat !

Wow, that is really a tempting opportunity to post the cartoon comic youtube thing again, but I think I have posted
it at least twice before, so will resist. On the new orange vinyl, can anyone try to justify for the label why it is £10 more
than the exact same version it is likely to be, in black vinyl? I think it is an absolute sham that they are shilling us rubes by just whacking on an extra tenner cost, so that they can burn notes on their yachts and laugh at us... I love how we argue on this site... :(

Anyone been to the Bowie 75 pop up in London - is it worth a visit?

To be fair, the cartoon is probably doing a lot more than people think.

So I got the Re:Call5 CDs, and the 12" book. What was the deal with DB and graph paper as a writing medium?

I cant believe that in the last 5 years we have had all this Bowie tat, colour anniversary vinyls, picture disc anniversary albums and single vinyls , London and New York shops selling all their overstocked tat, when will it end ?

No doubt now that they will probably release the 2 shadow man versions as A/B sides on limited cream vinyl just like Mother !

There’s surely a market for an era -1 set for pre ‘Five Years’ with the above , ‘David Bowie’ 1967 and extra tracks off here David Bowie – Rarities 1966-1968 (2019, CD) that aren’t already covered along with other odds & sods.
They could call it ‘Come And Buy My Toys’.
They ‘just’ need all rights holders to agree to it.
