Listening to Kenny G - documentary

This is part of the Music Box doc series on HBO (the Woodstock 99 doc is also part of this series). I thought it was a really interesting watch. Lots of air time is given to interviewees who are strongly critical of his music, so it's no hagiography. He's an interesting character, obviously very driven and self-confident.

It won't make anyone who doesn't like him or his music a fan (especially Pat Metheny), but I really enjoyed it despite having absolutely zero desire to listen to any of his records.

 

I really just want this to be 90 minutes of Pat Metheny losing his mind anytime anyone mentions Kenny G's name.

 

I would rather chew on broken glass.

 

That would be a great name for this documentary!

 

Just warming-up the audience for that big Perry Como multi-part series, right...?

 

My favorite is when he was riffing at the Grammys and Whitney Houston was rhythmically shaking her head as if it was deep stuff he was playing.

 

Is this part of the new suicide pod that's currently under development in Switzerland?
