Let us consider it as a wet dream until there will be confirmation from another source or official announcement.

Always a bittersweet memory for as I wanted to go to the show.
I messed up my entry for the radio station contest to win tickets and then tried to sneak in through the back door unsuccessfully.

    Was it filmed as well?

If this is true, I would throw my copy of Love You Live out the window.

Seems like a prank. The OP just joined today.

The Mocambo photo is obviously not from 1977.

  8. I’m afraid it is a prank too. However I’d love to be proven wrong.

It’d be about time. I’d guess these are probably the most sought-after shows from the post-Taylor era.

What about Paris or Knebworth 1976 audio and video?

those already circulate in full? Obviously an official version might sound better (I say might, since the recent releases have sounded like crap to me) Knebworth had some rarities but is also very sloppy (IMO), and Paris isn’t all that different from the ‘75 shows that were released outside of the extra Black & Blue songs. Toronto was a unique gig for them, and hasn’t been bootlegged in full (and what has is pretty rough even by bootleg standards).

Licked Live in NYC is the next official release (a break-out concert from the Four Flicks box set, probably with new audio and a couple of extras) — and that's NOT a rumour, it was already submitted for content rating in the EU, so just a few months until release worldwide

It's going to be the usual array of audio/visual formats. Mercury Studios have done well with the Steel Wheels Live and Bigger Bang Live concert releases and it's the 20th anniversary of Licks tour, so it makes sense to continue with this one (as they announced they would, years ago)

There's no way an official El Mocambo vault release is happening before then, much as I would love to have it in my hands right friggin' now. Polydor/Mercury Studios/UMG would surely save such a treat for the Holiday season... if indeed they are releasing it

Knebworth isn't out there in full video, plus the upgrade. It's also silly there's 4 shows from later tours in full official form of multiple tour, but were still waiting for the first 1976 show?

It's rough, but the hard cores still buying these know what they are in for and aren't confused casual fans.

Yeah. I guess just...I've heard Knebworth, and I feel like more fans would pick Toronto if they had to choose between the two. But I may be wrong. I remember tracking down Knebworth years ago in the early days of internet bootleg downloads, and being so psyched to hear it with that setlist, and...being pretty underwhelmed by the performance. Also, I wish these didn't have to automatically require there to be a video component, since there's probably great stuff in there that was recorded, but not filmed.

The small venue shows always get preference over the proper tour stops. Kneb is rough like LA 75 with lower repeat value, but I'd still pick it over the Copa reissue disc or upcoming NYC licks reissue video releases.

Would love for it to happen as they need to focus more on their older archives.

Well sure, anything vintage is more interesting than 21st century shows. Not that they’ve sucked this century but….we’ve got enough already, release-wise

I will believe it when it is in my hand.

Didn't Eddie Kramer say the tapes from one show were damaged?

I always thought LYL was mediocre, but always lived the El M. side.

Would very much like to see this happen.

Someone told me the tapes for this show are in bad condition so that's why it hasn't been released so far. Perhaps they found better tapes or were able to restore them.

You could have easily snuck in the back door for rehearsals, the band management only freaked when they realised it was not being manned!

Fantastic and great but both are secondary to this project for me.
