Yeah, they say they are waiting for Morrison to autograph the flyleafs before they ship.

Can’t believe they are charging £109 for the new record store day release, really can’t see the value in what they are offering. I try and buy every doors vinyl release but I’m priced out on this one.

  5. You can’t even get that right.

    I see thanks
According to this, the sunset sound riders and hyacinth house demo are on a 7" not on the LPs

Bonus content from upcoming 50th anniversary set; 2 full CDs of outtakes curated by Bruce Botnick that would go on vinyl. We also have the original Paul Rothschild on Sunset of 'Riders On The Storm' that caused him to quit the record b/w a demo of 'Hyacinth House' recorded at Robby's on a 7". Numbered. 1500 for UK.

Considering many deep Doors fans just spent a premium on the box set (average cost was about $20-$30 more than previous anniversary box sets), it seems like a stretch to expect people to now shell out $150 for the same outtakes a few months later.

They are banking on 11000 people willing to shell

It’s The Doors, and it’s on vinyl. I throughly enjoy these outtakes and welcome a vinyl release. The Morrison Hotel RSD was fantastic. $148-$150 for 4Lp’s isn’t to bad plus it will probably be a boxset which I’m sure will be gorgeous. Maybe next year we will get Boston 1970 on 4Lp’s.:edthumbs:

  13. At least they’re not throwing on a single unreleased track (probably something like ‘pre-song tuning #8’) to get the completists to buy the set again for just that single track. It’s The Doors, I take my victories as I can get them, no matter how small.

i'd pay that amount for a complete Matrix box set without a doubt, but for LAW that we already have on cd just a couple a months ago... is really hard.

btw Boston on 4 Lp box would be really cool

It’s a small release number so they’re not expecting a lot of fans to buy it. And with all releases people will either buy it or not but they will all go. Probably quickly too.

My hunch is that we will see Paris Blues released at some point this year. There’s been a lot of chatter about it from the doors camp lately as well as a few people outside the doors camp having heard it.

It was also officially posted on Facebook and Twitter and emailed to subscribers on the same day it was posted here, so the doors office said it first,
so thanks to the doors office for announcing it first.

MAtrix RSD 1 were 11K, Matrix 2 RSD were 13K and still can find cheap copies of the last one. so 11K is a fair number to release, but is an expensive set too. i really hope it sell out, that will prove that actually exists a market for that kind of box sets (so finally can release The Matrix)

It seems crazy that they pulled the 40th 5cd LAW box in 2011 because they didn't want to flood the market and wont release a matrix box but they have now released 2 law woman boxsets within 6 months of each other totaling 5 Lps and 3 Cds with the same material on both, both of which repeat material from the 40th workshop sessions and 2cd set.
