I saw it at a kids Saturday matinee in the 60's and really enjoyed it. Got the DVD from my library a couple of years ago and you are correct about it not holding up well.

And that was my pick. I caught it on HBO in 1980 and recorded it on VHS. I assume it's in my garage somewhere.

I was reminded of it when I read that Sinatra book a few years ago. Frank insisted on the ending, which was not the way the book ends. Curiously, he also fought aginst the studio changing the ending to Some Came Running. Shirley McLaine says that decision gave her career a huge boost.

Trust was the second film that Hal Hartly made with Adrienne Shelly, back in 1990.

The previous year, he made The Unbelievable Truth. You can watch the entire movie here.

I love this one (and Vonnegut’s novel). I would have thought the book unfilmable, but George Roy Hill found a way to do it. The movie has a great cast of familiar character actors, as well, people like Ron Leibman, John Wood (Professor Falken in Wargames), and Kevin Conway.

I have the Arrow blu ray, which includes a slew of great bonus features.

A Simple Plan (1998) - Great performances from Bill Paxton and Billy Bob Thornton. I wish Sam Raimi directed more movies like this and The Gift.
