I'm going to play it in my home office today. Great album!

I was surprised to see my old thread pop up yesterday, since I haven't actually listened to Orbital for quite a while (probably since around Wonky). But I had recently rediscovered some of my old Orb albums and was thinking about bringing Orbital off the shelf too!

Pulled out the Blue Album today and really enjoyed it (at least the first half!). One Perfect Sunrise is a nice closer too.

Pulled out Snivilisation yesterday for the first time in ages. Any fans of that album?

To my surprise over the weekend, I stumbled across vinyl reissues of Green and Brown albums on 2xLP.

I hadn't heard about these - anyone heard these? How is SQ?

I've scoured the used bins for years, and was never able to find this bonus disc version (I think the US received a different version than the UK), until today for $2.97 at Bull Moose!

Can't wait to hear the 28 min version of "The Box".

Looks like there's a vinyl PO up now too.. also only ever heard the US bonus with halcyon live. Expanded box would be interesting, but bull only had that one copy it looks like- others are all us bonus

I saw three copies at the Bull Moose store in the used bin, and sure enough 2/3 were the US version. Good luck in your quest.

Speaking of vinyl, Bull Moose also had the Green and Brown 180g reissues yesterday so I snagged those finally.

To my surprise, the Hartnolls are together again playing festivals this summer.

@SweetTea brought this to my attention.

Geoff, have you picked up the new one that just dropped? Ever give Wonky a listen?

I did listen to Wonky, though I guess I didn't like it enough to buy a copy. Haven't heard the new one yet.

Anyone who isn't familiar with the OMT (Orbital Music Tribe) fan releases should look into them. There's some great stuff in there.

Oh man, I feel like Lucy is holding the football for me!

We haven't discussed them. If we had I would have learned a lot earlier that The Orb and Orbital are not the same. :hide:

Go easy on me Jeff.

So at Jeff''s suggestion I'm streaming Orbital 20 and really enjoying it. I'm about halfway through it and I'm really excited about exploring some albums. Can't believe I missed this stuff. :hide:

I know that this is a very old thread, but yes I'm definitely a fan of Orbital. Orbital 2, Snivilisation and In Sides are pretty much the "holy trinity" for me, with Orbital, The Middle of Nowhere and Wonky in second place. I can pretty much leave the rest.

Oh man, how could I have forgotten the full single version of "The Box" too? They were really at the peak of their powers back then.

I don’t know how easy that will be for Dave to find on streaming platforms. As posted upthread it took me years to find the correct bonus disc for In Sides.

I read on FB today that album is now 26 years old!

Time to give it another spin.

to me, the classic from them is the 'orbital' album,
    also called the brown album.

here in the US, it was orbital 2:
    Orbital - Orbital

i love every track on this, and it flows great together.
the singles and remixes are excellent. especially
for halycon and on, and of course lush.
underworld did some incredible remixes, as
    did cj bolland.

i only had it on cd, and someday will pick up the
remastered 2xlp, which is starting to climb up in price.

also got to see them live for this tour, and it was incredible.
