I like Joseph Kosinski’s previous stuff. I’ll watch this because of him, not TC.

I'm still waiting for the sequel to TC's 1983 under appreciated comedy romp Losin' It...maybe 2025 or 6?

Top Gun Maverick will premiere at CinemaCon next week (Apr 28), looking forward to reactions especially to the flight sequences which I think will be far superior to TG 1986.

PARAMOUNT PICTURES STUDIO PRESENTATION AND EXCLUSIVE SCREENING OF
    “TOP GUN: MAVERICK”
    (Doors open 8:45am)

After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. When he finds himself training a detachment of TOPGUN graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose.” Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it.

On which streamer do Paramount movies usually premier (in Europe)? Paramount+ is not available here.

Lady Gaga has announced her new song from “Top Gun: Maverick,” titled “Hold My Hand.” The song features in the film opening May 27, and will be released on May 3.

I was at CinemaCon and saw Top Gun: Maverick on Thursday morning....and I'm not a big fan of the first film or much of a Tom Cruise fan, but this was a damn entertaining film from start to finish!! I loved it!!! I joked with some co-workers that I would be lucky to get past the 30-minute mark before I would hit the casino, and yet, 130 minutes later I wanted Paramount to run it again! LOL!!!!

This will be a monster for theaters, and rightly so, it's the perfect summer popcorn film that is close to perfect. I'm planning to see it again opening weekend in IMAX (at CinemaCon the film played in Dolby Vision/ATMOS--which looked/sounded awesome!)---the hype is real!

Is Val Kilmer in the picture, and if so, in what capacity?

Biggest news for me so far is that TC’s love interest is only 8 years younger. Usually he has movie wives/girlfriends half his age.
