If I’m playing price is right; at least $7k upwards to $8.5k.

curious if they will make a passive version.
i do not see them pricing the active in the stratosphere, definitely below the ref 1.

what would be interesting is if they made a semi active version with active bass drivers like golden ear does and reduce the load on the coax to a midrange tweeter only.
you could then easily run it with a tube amp.

You mean the height from the floor? I'm sure that layout is to make a point-source of sound.

Are there bass drivers on each side? if not that will not sound good.

Based on their Blade design philosophy I’m going to assume so.

And while I’m sure the leaked photos can be maddening to the folks at KEF like @jackocleebrown I don’t think it lessens excitement around the official announcement next week for fans of the brand.

The blades claim to fame is zero parallel internal and external surfaces. No internal standing waves or external diffraction.

True but from a bass standpoint perhaps the new Uni-Core technology get you xx% there in a more traditional box?

it is off to a good start, the opposing bass drivers make for low enclosure resonance and a narrow front profile that reduces diffraction and improves imaging.
the blade's enclosure appears to be much larger and more detailed internally for bracing and port baffling- depends on how much they want the LS60 to weigh which will greatly determine its cost and competitiveness with the blades.

This is probably driving KEF bananas - only a few more days for the official announcement!

I do like the white and gray colorways. Excited to hear what new features/capabilities these have over the current LS50W Meta. I wonder if there will be any sort of integration with the LS50W Meta in a surround setup?

Trying to think of a personal use-case...maybe I can convince the wife she needs a pair for the home office?

I moved about a year ago and what I thought was going to work in my room is not happening.

my use case is a pair of power cables, Roon and that’s it…flanking a fireplace. I’d love a pair, but I think they’ll be out of my “second system” price range for a bit.

Seems a fair price given what you get.

Would love to hear these in action.

Lot of stuff packed in 5” wide speaker. If you like KEFs sound, these active floorstanders are most likely going to sound very good. I think.

Will they need to be tethered together like the LS50W I had. That was very annoying.
