It's a great read - although I thought Tracy Thorn's book on Lindy Morrison is much better written and gives a more unbiased account what it really was like being in The Go-betweens - got it cheap on Amazon as well!

 

Highly recommend this box set, perfect if you like old, weird music, spoilt only by a couple of tracks being omitted as they were deemed racist. Bought this for $55 a couple of weeks ago and then jumped to $91, so this is a great price - $130 on UK Amazon

As you've correctly stated this is a single lp not 2lp as the listing wrongly says...

 

I have noticed during the past week that all my orders are now going through Melbourne Airport on route to my house - adding a couple of days to the delivery time - is this happening to anyone else?

 

Yep, I noticed this happening (I am in Melbourne), sometimes delivery is still next day though. I assume at some point they moved most physical media to NSW (at least way back it seemed there were more CDs and vinyl shipping from Dandenong than is the case now). Weird logistics for sure!

 

Yep, mine are going all over the place prior to arriving at the moment, seem to take a long time to find their way at times as they sit at various centres for about a week - even had one recently that flew into Melbourne, went up to Sydney, sat there for a week, and then came back to Melbourne.

My local post office guy said that they had more parcels dumped on them during last week than at Christmas (I get parcels delivered there). Heard on grapevine from someone who knows someone there that Tullamarine facility sorting was fairly swamped as well.

 

That's what I heard. At least 8 hours overtime for anyone who wanted it last week and already 2 hours OT for today and tomorrow.

 

That's what I was told, overtime being offered etc.

 

Supposedly there's undelivered crap everywhere.

 

I had three packages sent from the same place a week or two apart from each other over 5 or 6 weeks period or so. All three arrived pretty much together over 2 day period last week. Bizarre.

 

Australia Post has a new facility at Bayswater (Tupperware) and supposedly there's another (secret) mail centre opening in Preston so COVID has been really good for them

 

I grew up in “The Nong”. Wouldn’t be suprised if a few 5 finger discounts have slowed things down.
