Lizzo was fun. She definitely held her own, especially considering she had hosting and musical-guest performing duties.
I do like a select few just not many at least from this cast. Yeah she did I loved it when she screwed up and started to laugh during the skits the gameshow one was awesome.
There's a Six Flags park a couple hours away from me in another state. Those commercials never aired in my market, though. Still thought it was funny. Obviously they were referencing something obscure anyway, and the character is goofy enough that it was funny without knowing the origin.
I had no idea who they were and was fairly certain it was a skit, a Springsteen parody thing. I’ve liked a lot of his production work, but this was embarrassing.
May 21st is the TBA season finale. Maybe the finally get a Update Desk "Joke Swap" after the xmas episode one couldn't happen.
Really liked the understudy sketch but it was an exciting episode in general. Still have to get used to Benedict's real voice though, having only seen him in Marvel movies.
Haven’t seen it all yet, but BC is great in what I did see. Weekend Update was a bit flat, but maybe I was falling asleep. Will give it a second chance. I’ve always been cold to Arcade Fire. This appearance did not change that. Boring chord changes played by too many people.
Brilliant episode, and after a long break from the band, Arcade Fire has won me back big time. Also production props to the 360 Stedicam shot on the second performance. Fantastic show. dan c
Fantastic episode! Benedict top-notch, the writing & cast on fire!! Favorites: *Blue Bunny Ice Cream. Found this one hysterically funny! even without having seen Power Of The Dog, but aware of film & knew that's what they were referencing. Cast members were great, esp. Heidi & Benedict w/their lines & commitment to the characters, *Kenan & Melissa's expresions = priceless! & MIkey & Ego were perfect funny foils. Cold Open. Good on you, SNL, hitting the weeks' biggest controversey straight off & love how cleverly & very wittily they inserted the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial, too. - SNL certainly had ample material to work with this week. Weekend Update (Minus Kate's bit, which I didn't watch since I viewed clips on youtube. In an ensemble fine, but otherwise, while not written in stone, I just tend to steer away from bits where she's lead.). 3-Way Tie: Chain Gang, The Understudy, Just Like You New Toilet Good: *Chuck E. Cheese. Still good, but Bowen Yang does play every character the same. Musical guest, Arcade Fire. I'm not a fan, but stepping outside of my own musical taste, though I didn't watch in full, I did view excerpts of each song & do think their performances were VG & think that their fans would find them to be very satisfying. It is nice to see different aspects of music represented. OK: Mother's Day Gifts. Negative: The Fainting Couch. *Particular laughs from those sketches in spoiler. Spoiler Heidi: "Tastes more like wind" Kenan "Am I Doing This Wrong?" Benedict's falsetto!
