It takes a lot to laugh, it takes a seven tonne train to cry! Holy crackers that is a big sculpture.

So in addition to being a “song and dance man”, Dylan is also a heavy metal artist?

"I’d seen and heard trains from my earliest childhood days and the sight and sound of them always made me feel secure. The big boxcars, the iron ore cars, freight cars, passenger trains, Pullman cars. There was no place you could go in my hometown without at least some part of the day having to stop at intersections and wait for the long trains to pass. Tracks crossed the rural roads and ran alongside them as well. The sound of trains off in the distance more or less made me feel at home, like nothing was missing, like I was at some level place, never in any significant danger and that everything was fitting together."

Did he craft this by hand?

This is actually more exciting/interesting that the s*** video they released last week.

Maybe the video should have featured the making of the train cart as oppose to some poor lyric video.

The railcar, from the article. I assume he had help, and it was made local to that area. That's a heavy item to ship....

Might have to go see that for myself.

There is an error in the article, the sculpture in not in the South-West of France (where I live) but in the South-East, close to Aix-en-Provence.

Lotta that stuff he would have found laying in farmers' scrap piles. Rotary hoe wheel, part of a row cleaner from a corn planter, old pulleys... seems pretty Dylan to me, regardless of whether or not he does all the welding himself.

  19. It looks like Bobby got bent out of shape from society's pliers and cares not to come up any higher. I won't go down the hole that he's in.
