Thor is at his worst in comics when they write him as a testosterone-fuelled buffoon - same with Captain America, who's even worse when he's running around barking orders in The Avengers.

I am not holding out much hope given the recent Doctor Strange atrocity, but at least this seems to have some humor.

I think that's a very safe assumption based on the previous one, they aren't going to pull a 180 and turn this into The Batman.

Comix nerd moment, he got gear on his forearms but they managed to throw in Thor's old wristbands from the old days in there!;)

It feels like the MCU slide is well and truly in play by this point. The vibe has changed, it feels like the Captain's let their hands off the wheel.

I'll be seeing Thor, but the trailer makes it look really bad.

Where is the MCU headed?? I figure they must have a plan to connect all of these movies I just hope they minimize or eliminate this fascination they have with the multiverse they can dumpster that anytime imo.

The Thor trailer was better on second viewing, I'm getting Thanos vibes from Gorr the God Butcher, hopefully not a rehash of the same themes.

I'm not sure this will apply to all of the movies, and it doesn't look like the case for Love and Thunder, but the rumor is that the character introduced at the end of the Loki series is the "next Thanos," meant to tie in several of the upcoming movies (and possibly some of the shows). The same character is definitely in the next Ant-Man film (same actor).

Yes, sorry, the multiverse seems to be part of it (the concept was introduced, for the movies and shows, in Loki).

The multiverse and the time lines from Loki are going to be the thread for all the movies I think leading up to a big confrontation with Kang possibly in some version of Secret War.

Christian Bale just couldn't stay away from that superhero money!;) The preview looks like it's childish, so it'll appeal to the children inside all of us that have made superhero movies the hottest ticket in town!

Couldn't look any worse than this hideous red/blue/gold number he's wearing! Looks like a new toy; his and her Thor's!;)

I think the Thor from the Return of the Incredible Hulk television-movie wore the helmet, too.

    It looks good.
If it's anywhere near as good as Ragnarok it'll be a hoot.

    I’m in!!

I think the way Marvel has adapted the movies from the books is nothing short of monumental.

Ghanos, for instance, was a much better character , with much better motivations than his comic counterpart.

And the way they have eased into the multiverse has been fantastic.
