I thought was just another reaction to a Second Amendment challenge.

    Legend… great novel.

  7. F'n-A! Touch of Evil (1958)! That Charlton Heston was a Mexican. :D

  8. Karnak

    Karnak "81, 82, 83, 84..."

Ben Hur - (never liked Planet Of The Apes-as SF, found it as implausible as Children Of Men). Anyway, the reason I love watching it is the way that the deep friendship between Messala and Hur turned bad. Kudos to the late Stephen Boyd as well. I read that Gore Vidal did the writing for the film. Those scenes where they interact-in friendship-and-hostility("the race-it goes on")... Over the years, it had me involved-Heston a wooden actor? No way here.

Easily The Omega Man for me. Loved it ad a teen and it’s still my favorite apocalyptic sci-fi film.

I've seen The Ten Commandments a lot, mostly as a kid. I think one of the local stations played it every Easter or something like that.

The Ten Commandments has always mesmerized me - if I turn it on I can't stop watching it.

I haven't watched these nearly as much but I gotta mention some peculiar favorites so here goes:
    El Cid
    The Agony And The Ecstasy
    Antony And Cleopatra

I've watched films with Charlton Heston in them but I've never watched a film because Charlton Heston was in them.

When I was a young it was "Planet of the Apes", it has been overtaken by "Touch of Evil".

Definitely 'POTA' for me as well... There's not even a question about it.

My second most watched Heston film is probably 'Will Penny', unless you can count his glorified cameo in 'Beneath the Planet of the Apes' as a Heston film, then 'Beneath' is my second most watched Heston film.

I've never seen the movie in question, but I can say I do *not* think Charlton Heston would make a convincing Hispanic man.

And for the record, Chuck Connors didn't make a convincing Native American in that 'Geronimo' movie he starred in either... But that's for another thread. :)

I picked up a copy of 'Mountain Men' while out thrifting... I haven't watched it yet, but it does look like it'll be good.

Probably Ben Hur. Possibly Planet Of The Apes. I've seen Secret Of The Incas a fair few times too.

Easily Planet of the Apes. That's the only Heston movie I've seen more than once.
