I'm getting more and more excited about this release. We all know the boot DVD, but to see these two clips in restored, glorious quality is fantastic. Spectactular.
Not sure if this has been posted here, here’s a look at the super deluxe version. Looks nice and I would love to have that kind of packaging with the book. But just too pricey at $200 especially for non-vinyl fans like me.
The camera work on this release is spectacular, every video they've posted so far makes me feel like I'm sitting front row at the live gig. Eric giving it his all here, the playing and the vocal is tremendous. I can't wait to get this.
That litho is gorgeous. They say it’s a numbered litho. I wonder if they’ll release a non-numbered one separately online. Doubtful.
I'm sold. This is my Clapton right here. Wish deluxe box wasn't so expensive. Just have to buy CD,DVD,Vinyl individually.
As per Amazon UK pricing, getting the CD + Blu-ray + vinyl will cost you £62. With the hardcover book and litho added, the super deluxe at around £100-110 would’ve been reasonable and definitely in my radar (even if I don’t play vinyl). I couldn’t care less for the guitar strings, picks or the bandana. Typical stuff that gets added to jack up the price (to a ridiculous £200 in this case).
Today only Merchbar is having a sale. Super deluxe box is $166.99 Eric Clapton Nothing But The Blues Vinyl Record
Still way too expensive, not to mention the set looks cheap to me. You can get the LP, Blu-Ray and CD all for $70 total.
The Hendrix releases, Dylans's ASP to name just two examples. Having said the above I think its unlikely that this release will be anything other than from a digital source.
Just another a week to go, a very long wait will soon be coming to an end! I am hoping Amazon delivers on release day so that it can be weekend of “nothing but the blues”.
In case of the Hendrix releases it's just one SH forum user that keeps on spreading this misinformation without having the slightest proof.
Er, no! The All Analogue stickers on my US copies of AYE, Axis, Electric Ladyland, BOG, Berkeley & Monterey would indicate otherwise.
Er, yes! There are also EU releases with All Analogue stickers this user claims are digitally sourced.
That may be true of more recent reissues, but as far as I'm aware for the 1997 & 2010 reissues the US copies were AAA the EU were digitally sourced, the EU copies back then didn't have the AAA sticker.
