i want the vinyl and the 5.1...so its a win win for me I will also get the analogue productions SACD when that comes out.
Likewise. Just pre-ordered it. Might have otherwise gone for the vinyl only version but as they are usually around £35-£40 an extra £15-£20 for the deluxe seemed a bargain!!!
Finally after all those years of speculation, it’s coming out! I was hoping for a CD/Blu-ray set but seems like they’ve decided to bloat it by combining all formats in same package. At least the current preorder price of £58 isn’t outrageous but I just have no use or space for these vinyl sets. So will be taking the Apple Music route for both hires stereo and surround versions - bring it on!
It makes perfect sense (no Waters pun intended) only making the Blu Ray available with the vinyl. Pink Floyd Blu Rays never last very long, and vinyl lasts forever. Consider the vinyl a backup for when the Blu Ray becomes unplayable in 2 years time. In fact, this release has taken so long, the Blu Rays may have failed before the release date.
Given how much space there is on a Blu-Ray, they surely could've included a bit more bonus material than just three versions of the album But maybe we'll see some more stuff after they've sold their catalogue.
No sign of it on the official PF site and I cannot pre order on Amazon UK. I appear to have won a turntable in a competition, so I suppose I’d better buy at least one piece of vinyl to play on it. Deluxe version for me, and the first thing I will be doing when I open the box is backing the Blu Ray up on my PC before it self destructs.
I am no Floyd expert but is there likely to be much Animals related studio stuff? I have a boot cd of some Britannia Row Animals recordings but off the top of my head I can't remember much other material. For The Wall we had all of Rogers demos (well some of them) but did he demo the Animals songs? 2 of them were already in the live set albeit with different lyrics.
It's similar as to the audience bootlegs - most is "out there" but I'd like to have it in official form. There are work-in-progress versions ("Sheep" still with the "Raving and Drooling" lyrics), which you probably referred to, and the version of "Pigs on the Wing" bridged by Snowy's solo.
The Deluxe Set is perfect from my perspective as I'm an 'all format sorta' guy! Cassette would have been fine with me too! I think the price is pretty reasonable too all things considered. I was certainly expecting it to be much worse.

Doesn't seem like it. Where did you find that?? If this is true, I'll get this and the standalone CD.
I find Floyd very reasonable with their reissues, especially considering the high quality of them. I thought £19.99 for the Saucerful mono vinyl was a great price and I recently only paid £18.99 for the Pink Floyd Records Atom Heart Mother reissue. Floyd are showing how it should be done.

That must be a disappointment for a lot of fans. I'm sure a remix will be good, but it's a fine sounding album anyway. I genuinely thought the track list posted earlier in the thread was a mess up or joke.
2018 remix and it took this long to release the album just because these giant babies could not agree about some liner notes. Pink Floyd, sometimes it is very hard to love you.
Your links direct me to a search, but by copying the text I managed to find the blu-ray: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B4SPLNVW And vinyl: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B51HHL23
