that link is to the PF website. Shipping costs are ridiculous. At least with Amazon the shipping is free with Amazon Prime
When you click on his link, below are links to Amazon. Even though, the deluxe one when I clicked it on it did not have a pre order set up yet.
That link should go to a list of every main retailer that is selling a configuration of the release. Try reopening in a private / incognito window if it doesn’t.
Jeez they just announced it within the hour, hold your horses. Or order from Acoustic Sounds, the Pink Floyd website, your local record shop’s online store, etc.
I was merely highlighting my eagerness to pre-order this. I can wait for the Amazon link to become active. I've already been waiting years.
So far I only see pre-order for the CD and vinyl on AmazonDE, but no Blu-ray or all-formats-combined set there.
You totally missed the point. But if we’re being completely literal, note my use of the word “mix” and not “remix”
Dunno….I can’t remember what was said about the 1994 (or maybe it was 1996) reissues at the time. The point is that this is the 4th or 5th time this album has been reissued on CD, and aside from the 5.1, I’m going to bet the differences are minimal. This whole thing seems like a lazy money grab.
I think the point other users were making was that the previous CDs were just new masterings or pressings of the old 1977 mix. So there’s really just minimal differences between them. I guess the 2011 is now the “definitive” mastering of the old mix. This new remix is the first chance fans have had to experience the music in a really different way with a completely different approach to the soundstage in stereo as well as 5.1.
Nope... The combined version has the guitar solo from Snowy White. A huge missed opportunity with this set.
