Ordered the Byrds (Asylum) (Friday Music) LP when it was listed as a blowout. It was immediately canceled and I was refunded $12.29. Just received it in the mail today? Contacting them thru their website. See what happens.
Like the Community Chest card says in the classic Monopoly game, "Bank Error In Your Favor, Collect $200" .
And again I waited too long and the current 15% code expired. I wonder why they wouldn't run the sale through the 4th of July unless there's another sale right around the corner.
I agree, that's completely bizarre. I was fortunate and placed an order as soon as I found out about the coupon. I got the new CD and Blu Ray versions of Eric Clapton's "Nothing But The Blues" for a grand total of $31.33 shipped. The Blu Ray alone is $24.99 most places.
Your correct. I placed an order on 3 items, two of which were pre-orders and the discount was only applied to the already available item.
PLUNGE still works for 10% and includes pre-orders. Not sure if it is one time only, I haven't used it yet
This isn't a screaming deal yet, but it will be, I'll betcha. Paul Buchanan's solo LP 'Mid-Air' is being reissued this month. 2LPs, remastered by an original Blue Nile bandmate, with an entire disc of first-time-to-vinyl rarities. Every time the Blue Nile releases an album on vinyl, they look too expensive. Then, the records sell out in weeks, only to shoot to sky-high prices on Discogs. So, I'm not waiting on Paul Buchanan. It's $40 from his UK website, with sky-high shipping. The indie USA stores, and Amazon, are asking $54 for it on pre-order. I see that Deep Discount, PopMarket and perhaps others have it for $40 (with various discount / free shipping offers available to drop the price lower than that perhaps). Paul Buchanan Mid Air - 180gm Vinyl [Import] on DeepDiscount ================================================= Similarly, that deluxe edition 3x45LP of the new Porcupine Tree album seems to have sold out at most of our favorite online stores. Deep Discount still shows it in stock for $80. Amazon offers it for $56 but they are out of stock, and who knows if they will get it back in again. Like The Blue Nile, Porcupine Tree rarities seem to only go up in price, rarely down.
@DapperGentleman Nice to see some love for Paul Buchanan and The Blue Nile. Their body of work is stellar! I agree with you that their releases tend to sell out and increase in price on the secondary markets.
15% off with code: EXTRA15 For the Beatle/Lennon fans, I found this book: JOHN & YOKO PLASTIC ONO BAND Collectibles on DeepDiscount Note that there is an additional shipping charge added to it. When I added it to the shopping cart by itself, the shipping was $6.98, however when there was another item in addition to the book, the shipping charge lowered to $4.99. Strange, but the price comes out to about $15 with local tax added, not bad imo. Enjoy!
Thank you The new Deslondes was the anchor, Deslondes are really great, Cellarful Of Motown Vol 5 / Various [Import] Various Artists 600753847008 CD 1 $5.57 $5.57 Completely Well B.B. King 829421603702 LP 1 $11.72 $11.72 Purple Rain Prince 093624913207 CD 1 $24.03 $24.03 Unissued In Boston [Import] Wynton Kelly 8436563181306 CD 1 $3.99 $3.99 Ways & Means Deslondes 607396652020 CD 1 $11.99
Even though people hate on that Purple Rain Remaster, the extras are worth the admission alone. Decent price too
Strange, it looks as if the items in the bin went up several dollars. A bin item was bin my cart went up by just over $4 and I'm noticing the increase on several items that I have purchased previously.
i see that happen all the time! seems to happen especially with stuff that's labeled as import. not much of a "blowout" when the system jacks the price up based on a faulty algorithm + questionable list price.
Definitely appears to be more than just an adjustment by the algorithm due to currency fluctuation or supply & demand. I looked at some prior purchases that are still available in the bin and the price has now increased between 30% - 35% - but it appears that only bin items are impacted by the price increase. On the other hand, we've seen the bin prices change in the past on existing stock right before a big drop - so maybe we should take this as a positive sign of an upcoming drop given that the bin volume is relatively low right now.
I finally picked up the Tom Jones Decca Albums 17 CD box set for $23-ish. I couldn't pass up that deal.
