London Grammar's last album never received regular distribution, and the record has been expensive ever since it was released. *AND*, Amazon Global UK is having a "Free Shipping To The USA" sale! The UK Transparent Blue release has been particularly expensive, over $40 for most of its life. It is offered now, with free shipping to the USA by Amazon Global, for $29.07: https://www.amazon.com/Californian-Soil-Limited-Transparent-Vinyl/dp/B08ZW4RJHW And this: the Emerson Lake And Palmer 'Fanfare 1970-1997' Deluxe box set for $145 shipped. I think that's a new low price, isn't it? And again, the Free Shipping sale is on: https://www.amazon.com/Fanfare-1970-1997-EMERSON-LAKE-PALMER/dp/B075JC3NQN Mark Knopfler's Studio Albums box at $146.00 shipped is a good price too, I believe: https://www.amazon.com/Studio-Albums-1996-2007-VINYL/dp/B0959DBPWP The Amazon Global store is tough to navigate. This link gives an approximate list of Vinyl Box Sets. Amazon.com : box set vinyl It is a tiny portion of what is listed by Amazon Global.
Further to @DapperGentleman's post above, Amazon Global UK has the 17 CD + 3 Blu-Ray Charisma Years boxset by Van Der Graaf Generator for $135.85 with free delivery: Van der Graaf Generator - Charisma Years [Boxset Includes 17 CD's & 3 BLU-RAY's] - Amazon.com Music
Beats the pants off the USD$199.69 shipped from Burning Shed I spent last year. And I haven't even gotten around to opening up the box and exploring it yet!
Plus it's an instant winner in the "worst cover by a major artist" contest. I don't want that image in my house.
Not a "deal", per se, but Amazon (and others) are now taking pre-orders for the reissues of David Sylvian's albums 'Blemish' and 'Manafon'. The originals have been out of print for years and cost a fortune. ========================================== Some deals: Televangel & Child Actor 'Respawn' for $11.38 - never heard of these guys but they have pedigrees. Dreamy female vocals over noisy / eclectic backgrounds https://www.amazon.com/Respawn-Televangel-Child-Actor/dp/B09RVTLRCX Night Palace - Diving Rings for $12.52 - another dreamy female pop project with cool pedigrees on the other participants. Worth a listen! https://www.amazon.com/Diving-Rings-Night-Palace/dp/B09QZNMF8Y Anyone collect picture discs? Uriah Heep's 'Magicians Birthday' for $12.21: https://www.amazon.com/Magicians-Birthday-Uriah-Heep/dp/B09NBGM1CP
This is another deal from Amazon Global UK, with free shipping to the USA. I don't think it was in the inventory yesterday. Porcupine Tree - Delerium Years 1991-1997 big 13CD set in a box with big booklet. $151.35 shipped https://www.amazon.com/Delerium-Years-1991-1997-Porcupine-Tree/dp/B08J21B5WH
Mancini Pink Panther 50th on pink vinyl $17.50. I just received mine and it is indeed the same master as Kevin Gray cut limited numbered edition - "KPG@CA" in run out grooves. Sounds great! The Pink Panther https://a.co/d/453v066
While looking for something else, Amazon had the new El Mocambo 1977 releases by The Rolling Stones pinned to the top of the page, and it seems like the 4 LP version is at its lowest price to date (according to the camel). Since so many of you seem to be into this ancient technology, here's the link: The Rolling Stones - Live At The El Mocambo [4 LP] - Amazon.com Music Current price $95.20 down from $139.98.
The pre-order for the reissue of Wilco’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is at a pretty decent price $24.99 Yankee Hotel Foxtrot 2022 https://a.co/d/4RqhTtB
Don't be a cheapskate, get the full enchilada: https://www.amazon.com/Yankee-Hotel-Foxtrot-Super-Deluxe/dp/B09Y9JBNTN/
Yeah, all those LPs is too much for me, too. However, 8 CDs for $100.52 wasn't too many enchiladas for me, so I preordered that, as well as the 2xLP remaster for another $24.99. That's the "Super Deluxe Edition" configuration that works for me.
These 2022 albums are all a little higher in absolute price but represent good discounts from where they've been recently: Roy Orbison - The Original Sound 70th Anniversary on Sun $13.92 https://www.amazon.com/Original-Sound-70th-Anniversary-LP/dp/B09PNMC3P5 Chris Spedding - Joyland - $14.98 https://www.amazon.com/Joyland-Chris-Spedding/dp/B09MGNPL4K Rodney Crowell - Triage - $13.36 https://www.amazon.com/Triage-Rodney-Crowell/dp/B09NF68W2R Todd Rundgren - And Friends on purple wax - $15.60 https://www.amazon.com/Todd-Rundgren-Friends-Purple/dp/B09LMQ51W2 Hanson - Against The World - $13.99 https://www.amazon.com/Against-World-HANSON/dp/B095L2QKGH Caroline Marie Brooks - Everything At The Same Time - pretty vocals singer songwriter - $14.40 https://www.amazon.com/Everything-Same-Caroline-Marie-Brooks/dp/B09TJ3NGZW Chuck E. I posted the Chris Spedding one awhile back and can confirm it sounds great. It's a no-brainer, plus Bryan Ferry sings on one track (Gun Shaft City).
