We recently lost David Warner and I reflected on his movies. He was always great as the villain and made a decent career by it for awhile. One of my favorite movie baddies is Alan Rickman in Die Hard as Hans Gruber. So memorable. Who else do you feel is terrific as the evildoer? Your answer can be for any gender.
Kurtwood Smith as Clarence Boddicker in Robocop - what a detestable but unforgettable character David Provol as Richie Aprile in The Sopranos Joe Pantoliano as Ralph Cifaretto in The Sopranos John Malkovitch as Mitch Leary in In The Line Of Fire Dennis Hopper as Frank Booth in Blue Velvet
Gregg Allman as the heavy in the 1991 movie Rush. IIRC, the Robin Trower classic "Bridge of Sighs" played during his final scene.
Andy Robinson in Dirty Harry. A really nice guy in real life from what I’ve read but a great performance and a truly disturbing villain.
Sir Christopher Lee, take your pick from many a memorable performance. For me it would be a more understated ‘villain’ in The Wicker Man, which makes it even more disturbing and unforgettable…
I could never get past that performance and see him as anything else afterward. When he went from a good guy to a baddie in Hellraiser, I thought: Of course... Someone here told me he was in Deep Space Nine, but I never saw that.
Vincent Price - sure, he appeared in some rather lousy films, and often played his roles a bit camp/tongue-in-cheek, but he was certainly always fun to watch.
Ray Liotta in Something Wild Edward Norton in Primal Fear--even though he was pretending to stutter in his film debut, I kept expecting him to do it in later roles.
Roger Delgado. Perfect as the Master - probably the first acting performance that ever impressed me (I was about three). Everyone know knew him seemed to love him.
Lee Marvin,in so many movies, even his Academy Award winning dual role in the comedy "Cat Ballou" as Kid Shelleen and his brother Tim Strawn.
Yes! He was awesome on DS9! Not a villain per se, but complex and potentially very dangerous: Funny thing too, When I first saw the show, I immediately knew it was Andy Robinson, Even under all that make-up, Those eyes!
