The ones that just state analog master look incomplete to me.
They are missing the "to" part of the listing. If they are AAA, should they not state direct to lathe... or direct to lacquer?

Don’t forget, Bernie Grundman is putting out a 40th Anniversary Thriller as well, will probably cost $30 at most…good luck to MoFraud on selling those 40k one steps .

Dylan mono box is AAA right? I remember that being reasonably priced.

 

"Direct to lathe", IMO, should only be used when no EQ and/or other additional processing was applied during cutting. It's not the same as "all-analog".

 

yeah, but will that version have a box with foam and technical inserts, and a generic single record cover with CD-sized artwork on it?

How does $50 sound for the MOFI Thriller?

 

The reply I got from Mofi when I asked about the sources for titles not on their website:
“Our Sound Lab team is currently in the process of updating all title pages on our website with full transparency on the source and mastering chain used for each release, starting with our recent titles and going back through our entire catalog.

For titles that are out of print or no longer available on the website, a full archival list will be made available as soon as possible.”

 

It could be interesting to see what is deemed as constituting “full transparency”

 

That would be nice. I never bought it because I had the Sundazed. The MOFIs are better than the Sundazed but I would love to hear the box

Not sure we ever will able to obtain a honest and totally sincere answer from MoFi...
That being said, i tend to believe that they sincerely think they can achieve a "superior" sound. How superior ? superior in what ? these are the questions...

 

Unfortunately, not any longer. Their bags are made with just regular bag-like materials. No bueno.

I have two original VH1 and the CB . I still like better the original . the original has better balance. If the 1S sounds like the original but with more headroom due to is cut at 45rpm and vinyl formulation i will be extremaly happy
