    First heard this by Manhattan Transfer, on the same album which has their "Twilight Zone/Twilight Tone" single.
    In their version, it's about overdosing on the idiot box.

    Otherwise, I'd have to agree with the OP on "I'm The Slime". Indeed, when I saw Zappa on SNL do this with Don Pardo himself, I was in school, studying...television.
