R.I.P. Judith Durham. Beautiful voice, and the song is a huge favorite for me.
Keith Potger of the Seekers formed the New Seekers when the original band disbanded. All other members were new. The success of both groups was great — and almost equal on every level to each other as far as sales, number of hits, chart performance, etc. It's so close it's uncanny.

Up until recently I thought "Georgy Girl" was sung by Spanky and Our Gang, very similar style of music and singing

Yes, I just read of her passing on yahoo news site I think. Around a year ago, I was just listening to some of her old songs…excellent singer with a distinctive voice and a beautiful lady.

    RIP.

I originally thought she was from England but reading more about her, have learned she’s Aussie.

I just saw this on FB and my heart sank. I so loved her voice and the work of the Seekers. This has really made me feel a loss. Wishing her loved ones comfort, peace and the satisfaction of knowing she was/is so beloved. Her voice is definitely one which will make that Heavenly Choir sound phenomenal.
