Yes and Flemish is just a malfunctioning variation of Dutch! :p

At least we can speak French :biglaugh:!

It's actually the other way round! Standard Dutch is based on a few variations, Flemish being one of them.

It works though. IMO, not the cheapest or best, but there's no thread for budget cables that they don't get multiple mentions.

OPPO. My wife keeps picking up the remote upside down, and asking, what this "oddo" control is for.

Then they stopped making them at the height of their popularity. You would think a company like that would have done some Oppo research...:wtf:

Exactly why I often call it "a malfunctioning variation of Dutch".
Because the standardization of all the variations into one unified ABN fixed everything! :p

Btw, ABN is a mix of not just Nederfrankisch, but also Nedersaksisch which is closer related to German (our local language is Twents, which is Nedersaksisch).

Back in the day ... bought an Akai mini-component system once, I got it in the Navy Exchange, and it wasn't cheap - a higher priced model. What a piece of junk that system was. Gave it to my friend to give to his son.

    His son loved it!! :righton:

So what's wrong with the 'Akai' brand name according to you :D??

When you drop a wad of cash on a portable mini-component stereo system - you AT LEAST expect it to sound OK. That's not asking too much. It sounded so bad, to me, that I gave it away.

    Thanks Akai!

So then I bought a Hitachi - it sounded wonderful - amazing really! It sounded so wonderful... I bought a second one and just sent it home. Buying the 2nd one ended up being a really outstanding decision!

I have to avoid thinking about the name Well Tempered for too long, or I start wondering if those retune all the keyboard instruments on recordings into Werckmeister tunings during playback.

I know I said I really only had an issue with Schitt, but yeah, there are some names out there that make you wonder why anyone would choose them.

    Denafrips
    Fluance
    Blue Jeans

Well Tempered (don't really hate the name) would be a good name for a dog breeder. Turntables can be temperamental sometimes though.

No problems. But you should address his mama for naming him that:). But she and him are long dead. The company’s new TT’s are excellent! And he just released a new 10K DD TT….the PE 7070. Go ahead and get one to match those Spendors and Cary amp.

Why should any of this be "serious"? We're just listening to music. Nobody is curing cancer here.
