I love Studebaker, but surely this '36 Dictator takes the cake in this category of unfortunate model names? Not audio? Think of it as a radio with self-propelled potable listening room.

I am a lawyer in the USA and Blue Jeans' response to Monster is fabulous. I have Blue Jeans interconnects and speaker wires, but didn't know about this kerfuffle. I love those products even more now. Thanks for sharing this.

The dealer always wanted his staff to say Creek Audio and not just Creek.

I’m glad I wasn’t the first to say Denafrips…. Google their reasoning for the name. It is the worst acronym ever in the history of audio. Reads like a poorly translated ad or manual. Don’t want to hurt feelings here but that is a weird name for something you want people to think is great and buy many of.

Same here. For all the good reviews, I just could not bring myself to buy a piece of Schitt.

Same. I've used a few of their headphone amps and was very impressed by them. Great sound, great value, and made in USA.

Of course, I misspelled the name in my earlier post.

To me. Akai is hard to understand as a whole. I see some nice ideas, and the clever equipment, is not something I want to own. Teac is the exact opposite for an ordinary item, from the same period of time. They try to be hard to be something they're really not, and on the surface.

Sounds like a prescription medication to me…

Patients should only take Auralic under a doctor’s supervision. If you experience loss of bladder control while using Auralic, consult your physician. In rare cases, Auralic may cause bleeding from orifices, temporary insanity, unbearable agony and total loss of being.

Technics (Even Panasonic can’t agree on how to pronounce it).

Teac (has the same problem as Technics)

Been pronouncing it as Tek-Nicks for almost 40 years now… so even if it’s wrong, I ain’t changin’ now. :sigh:

(Besides, ‘Techniques’ as a pronunciation just sounds goofy.)
