Hardware in the sense of bolts, washers and nuts?
I just bought a few hex bolts (M2.5) of various lengths (8/10/12/15mm).
Highly recommended to buy some at your local hardware store, especially if you plan to get multiple cartridges.
Using a hex screwdriver these are way easier to use IMO; the screwdriver can’t slip out of it, like it can with slotted bolts.
With certain cartridges, nuts don’t fit, so you have to use rings instead.

But other than ease of use, there’s not much difference; just use what looks nicest to you.

    use the lightest.
In this case the shortest unless some are aluminum.

Looking for a headshell for Denon DL103 on SL1200GR
Which weight would be best as I have the extra optional counterweight.
    10g, 15g..or ?

I run a Denon DL-103R (basically the same thing) on a Jelco HS-25.
    Sounds great, highly recommended.

I wish these were still available. Only found on e-b-a-y out of Japan for around $120 and up shipped.

LP Gear has an equivalent called the Zupreme.

Both the LP Gear Zupreme and Tonar TopQ are rebrands.
    About 12 to 12.5 grams.
    Watch out for counterfeits though...

I’ve got 3 Jelco HS-20 headshells I’d be willing to part with cheap. I’ve found I prefer the factory G headshell with AT 6018 wires.

I recommend something heavier for a Denon, something between 16 and 18 grams (Audio Technica, Yamamoto, etc). The headshells can get pricey, and because of the extra mass, require the use of the heavy Technics auxiliary weight. Also note that Denon DL series are short, and require a spacer for correct VTA.

AUX WEIGHT: Auxiliary Weight 30 gram
SPACER: Delrin Headshell Cartridge Spacers non-magnetic non-inductive turntable VTA Kit | eBay

But once you deal with the inconvenience of the above, I think the Denon sounds great on a Technics.

What screws come with the GR? Are there long ones?

    Cart screws?
Don't they come with the cart?
    None with my G.

Two lengths. Should fit taller cart mountings that need longer screws like a DL-110. I usually stick to the screws that come with the carts for whatever reason but these seem decent.

They are supposed to come with all models, and came with both my G and GAE. The best thing about the Technics screws (well, the nuts really) is that the nuts precisely fit in the slots on top of the stock headshell making it far easier to install cartridges without screw holes tapped into the body.

I've had my G for a few years, I must have forgot about the screws?

Need to check you box! I really hate how some cartridges don't have threaded screw holes (like the AT33PTG/2), but that hardware makes it a lot easier to install, using the stock headshell anyway.

In the 1200 MK7L screws were in the bag with owners manual, stickers etc. - not with headshell.

I need to use them for a Shure M44G. Long ones should do.

I have been saving to get a 1200GR but now that the 100C has been released, I'm really on the fence. A big reason for wanting the SL-1200GR was the iconic design but if the 100C performs about the same, I think I might rather save the extra $700. Anyone have any advice here? Will these two tables perform about the same?

I don't have the 100C, but I do have a 1500 (and a 1210GR). To me, the 1200/1210 is worth the extra cost, and if I would buy it again. The 1500 is fine for the living room where the whole family has access to it - but if I had to pick just one I would spend the extra for the GR.

I would only spend the extra on the GR if I was thinking to upgrade the arm at a later stage. The 100C and 1500C don't have after market arm boards.
