I liked it a lot. Felt much more in line with the original. Predator vs. Prey.

Very down-to-earth, back to basics. Several call-backs, too (mud, other things I won't mention).

I do have a soft spot for the wildly entertaining (and often brilliantly funny) Predator 2.

But I have to say if they make a direct sequel to this Comanche Prey, I'm in!

It almost sounds like you're referring to the original Predator movie. ;)

That movie came dangerously close to being that very thing.

This was a lot of fun. Total popcorn movie that doesn’t take itself too seriously. The brother character was such a badass. When he busted in on that horse circling the predator and whooping I cheered. The main gal was perfect too. This predator didn’t seem nearly as smart as the one who went toe to toe with Arnold, but taking out a giant angry bear? Respect.

While I liked Prey a lot, I still like the first 3 better. Prey totally stomps The Predator and the Alien vs Predator movies though.

The thing with Predator is Predator is the main appeal, if they don’t get his look right like Shane Black 2018 film, mutant Predator.. bah, cheap looking. Now this low budget TV movie with predator looking like an Yeti, not full predator appearance ala Predator & Predator 2, also AVP 2004-what a great look.. final battle scene with giant Alien.

This predator does appear to be a bit thin. Also why doesn’t it have more advanced weaponry (after all it did arrive via a spacecraft. You would think that his weapons would be more high tech)?

There's been speculation that this Pred is of a different sub-species that is leaner and shorter from others we've seen. That I can take. As to his equipment (or lack thereof) I guess it was due to his feral design, being more of a melee fighter than ranged weapons.

his weaponry was pretty high tech for their development at that time. remember it's long before the original. the hovering drones, the targeting system in his helmet for projectiles. the shield from his wrist, etc. all very cool. loved this for what it was, action popcorn. hope they do another one with the same lead.

Cheap budget. Somebody raided the studio costume department. „This will have to do“

Prey - Predator head looks like an Ant..in comparison. Lot of negative reviews on IMDb. Saying that pleased Prey‘s rating was good. Maybe a return to classic predator design if there’s a sequel.

I believe any bad movie series would be better with a Predator added to it.

    5/6 too low.

    requiem?
Budget restraints.. hence dark screen. Like the park scene / child /Predator. :)

Does it look like the Yeti or The Creature From The Black Lagoon, which is it?

Just watched Predator 2 on Hulu. I hadn't seen it in years. It's as good as I remember - second best to the original but still quite good. Prey falls in right behind 2.
