I just pulled the trigger on this and am playing it now. Agree the music is incredible and ethereal. Discs are flat enough……but was getting noise. Started to have flashbacks to my nightmare copy of the Resonance “Some Other Time” RSD release (likely digital) which I was never able to “defang”. This record is not close to that in terms of noise…..and does seem to be getting better with successive plays…..at this point I think it will end up as a keeper. Recording, remastering, and music are off the charts ! To think I was a high school senior when this came out and I likely could have seen this stuff live….but just didn’t know my “a$$ from a hole in the ground” at the time and was busy chasing Blue Oyster Cult around :)

Has anyone received their SACD and compared it to the original CD?

This won't exactly answer your question but the SACD version sounds better than the 2003 remaster. The difference is somewhat subtle but is worth the money for someone who really enjoys the album (like myself).

Picked this up on Amazon for $24.
Really impressed with the sound quality and the vinyl is dead quite. (Prewashed w/US)

Just comparing with piano sound on Trio 65, this one is far superior to me.
Maybe it's KG, the 45 or the recording making all the difference.

Now, I'm curious about Trio 64...

To be fair, there are at least 15 years between these albums and they were recorded in different locations using different gear. This will guarantee a different sounding experience.

I picked it up as a used option earlier this month.
It was actually unopened when it arrived. (Bonus)

Games Amazon plays with any returned inventory.
It's always a roll of the dice it seems.

When did the SACD come out and why does Craft say it's on preorder? Is that for an anticipated restock?

I got mine a few weeks back. They must have sold out of the first batch.

I'm glad this title has been a great seller for them. I'll be buying one as soon as it's back in print.

Just curious - what grade/condition was it specified as? I see several copies, but only listed as Acceptable, with some specifying "Large mark on disc", which seems kind of scary.

Thanks. Funny how Amazon Warehouse and marketplace sellers refer to box, case, activation codes, bonus online content, etc for records that come in standard sleeves. Seems like quite the crapshoot as far as what you actually get. Seems like it'd be safest to stay with the Very Good or Like New used categories though.

    I don’t know if it's WH.
You have to click on the used options on the items main page.
It's hit or miss but rewarding if have some patience to throw a few frogs back.

I grabbed the Marvin Gaye 50th for $18 today. We'll see what kind of shape it shows up in a ~week...

The bargain hunter. Good luck. Hey, I just got a Galaxy S22 and picked up a case for it about 30% off from the WH. It's worth looking in there, although I'm not sure I'd buy vinyl from there.

Hopefully that’s not the 50th that’s just green colored vinyl, as opposed to the 50th that was done by Kevin Gray.

I was going to order the You Must Believe In Spring SACD from Craft but $6.82 for USPS First Class shipping is a bit much. Hopefully the SACD will be available from other vendors when it's back in stock.
