Bowen’s Weekend Update “Iceberg Who Sank the Titanic” character was one of the funniest bits I have ever seen on SNL, although, as I recall, many others on this thread disagreed with me on that one.

Comedy is so diverse and so personal. That's what I like about SNL and this thread. Some people prefer this sketch or era and others prefer different sketches/eras.
No problem, as long as everyone finds something to enjoy and laugh at.

Tomorrow's episode will be Kim Kardashian West and Halsey from October 9.

It starts off about the movies, but it also talks about how SNL's format has changed and how they're shifting away from recurring characters.

He was really funny. Melissa Villaseñor was amusing at best. Can’t believe Alex Moffat is leaving, that guy is hilarious. Looks like we’re going to have another couple of years of transition…..

I really liked all of them, and I thought Aristotle was gonna for sure be given a few years to develop. He showed a lot of promise in the few roles he was given. Man, bummer.

And another year goes by in which I forgot to enter the lottery... one of these years I'll cross this off the bucket list.

It was already mentioned in the Season 48 thread, but it’s okay to mention it in here as well.

Not sure which episode but an SNL rerun of the well known and frequently visited alien abduction skit opener where Kate plays her salty talking account of her alien experience had her tear eyed and holding back emotions waving goodbye to the live audience while going into a smoke filled rectangular portal to go with the aliens.

I thought it was a nice touch for a send off if indeed it was her last performance on SNL. Can't be sure but the next week rerun didn't have Kate in any skits.

Kate did actually appear in that episode after that farewell sketch… I don’t remember what it was about but it was one of those sketches where most or all of the cast have a little bit to do. So that was in fact her last SNL sketch (at least until she comes back to host or cameo).

Lizzo’s performance in that Austin Butler episode was atrocious. Bad beyond words.
