You could do this with the blu-ray. There are three time-synced mixes: Audio track 1 is the 2018 5.1 mix, Audio track 2 is the 2 is the 2018 stereo mix, and Audio track 3 is the 1977 stereo mix.

Probably the simplest thing to so would be to just use Audacity or the like and copy the missing bits from the 1977 mix and drop them in the 2018 mix.

I'm 20+ years younger than the living band members, and I lack confidence that I will see all of this released...

Correct. They can't possibly have done a sample-for-sample sync between the remixes and the two-track album master.

I knew there were no professional/multi-track recordings, but I did not realize there weren't even soundboards/cassettes. Quite a lack of foresight. So, I wonder what this comment from a May Billboard article means (bold is mine)?

What makes the Pink Floyd deal potentially even more attractive to suitors is that there is a slate of planned yet-unreleased live albums and films, along with box sets, compilations and repackaged original recordings to drive overall Floyd revenue through the next 10 years, according to sources. It’s unclear if those recordings are a part of the offering, but if they are it easily will drive the valuation higher. Even if they are not, those new releases likely will serve as a catalyst driving attention, and thus incremental revenue, to the rest of the catalog.

Precisely, along with any additional between songs speaking or song intros (if anyone actually said anything LOL). I bought the Immersion sets but passed on the Early Years (since to me, most of that stuff is crap).

When it comes to vinyl quality, it seems to be the same problems as were with the Momentary Laps remix edition. For that one there were two pressings, one from Optimal (EU market) and one from Record Industry (US market).
Optimal copies were mostly horrible and Record Industry copies were mostly excellent. Now for the Animals remix it’s Record Industry that got it all wrong. Or is it another pressing plant in the Netherlands that pressed this?

It's been discussed a lot/enough over the years here.
Those cassettes that captured the concerts via open mics probably don't sound good enough for an official release.

Thank you for reminding me why I dislike how Echoes was performed on that tour. I tend to block that out of my memory.

I have always loved Animals and as the years has gone by, I only appreciate it more.

This remix is incredible and it suddenly sounds ‘in place’ with the albums surrounding it (Wish You Were Here & Animals).

You can argue some ‘grit’ and ‘dirty-ness’ was needed in their sound around the time it was released, as it was England 1976-77 and the whole Punk movement was in full swing, so the original still has it’s relevance.

All in all, there is not much to say.
The remix does the original justice and vice versa.

Thanks for the good wishes! I have a feeling this may take a few tries to get it right. I can live some some sn and ticks on most LPs, but this is one I’d rather have to.

Ahh, you guys don't get it. The new fad that the kids are into now is relic'd vinyl to give it that old school sound vibe and look.:righton:
