this is incorrect. you have a bootleg CD, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. the first clue should have been that there is no resprise records.
Quite clearly a typo, unless it is indeed spelt that way on the release. But anyway, there was no official CD release of this title until the 2016 ORS2 box set. I have a copy of the box, so no interest in a stand alone CD.
Correction. Just checked the CD i have. This is the version. Neil Young, Various - Time Fades Away & Where The Buffalo Roam Ps. Reprise version Neil Young - Time Fades Away
A very good bootleg then. The quality of the Digipak is very good.As is the sound. Will be interesting to compare the sound quality and dynamic range levels with the new official version when it is released.
'where the buffalo roam' has also never been on CD. the song form the soundtrack, 'home on the range' did appear on a westwood one radio (neil young rarities volume 17) CD back in the day, i still, to this day, do not know if all those westwood one CD's were legit or not.
reprise were going to release in 1996. the 2007 version is a bootleg. TFA did get released as part of the official release series 5-8 box set in 2014. this is the first ever official standalone release on CD.
Neil could still steal them from your mail carrier so don't get too excited yet. Mine shipped also so there is a 50/50 chance...
Who in their right mind wants the "Where the Buffalo Roam" soundtrack on CD. That 2 fer had to be a scam, refused to fall for it. No way Ha ha
Got my amazon email aswell and post service says it will be here tomorrow. Happy to finally get an official copy of this
They were legitimate in the sense they were made for Westwood One radio stations as play copies designed for radio play.
Since these were commercially released albeit not on digital is the correct term not “pirate” rather than “bootleg”?
Got my copy this morning. Same Neil style packaging. Cover darker then I thought it was. Did not get a chance to listen yet
At last! I'll just say it's a shame there's a bar code on the rear of the sleeve. Otherwise, top marks for the replica packaging.
I feel like my spine is in the wrong location.....with my spine in the right view, my front and back covers are sideways....was that what the original vinyl was like?? PS - so glad to finally have a legit copy of this on CD. Think this might cap my NY buying....nothing else I need anymore.
