5 ways they sourced the tracks but there are 1-4 songs mentioned per method.

I have this 1983 US pressing with the calendar still neatly folded inside:
Daryl Hall John Oates - Rock 'N Soul Part 1

I was disappointed with the MoFi in comparison, less dynamic, but neither are must haves unlike the MoFi Bill Withers GH DSD and all it still sounds amazing.

I've realized later that I was thinking of part 2 when I've said the Japanese version was quite good but good to know about part 1 as at some stage I should get it too. Thank you.

Interesting, Chad Kassem preferred a 4x DSD copy over the master tape every time. I'd like to get a comment from him about it. I wonder if he'll talk about it in one of his videos? I won't hold my breath for that.

Another great video from this guy. Regardless of whether you agree with his calls, he is very entertaining. And he does know his stuff.

Haven't played Touch in years... that's as far as I got in the video, that was more than enough.

Are you getting a commission for every time you post this? Just curious.

I havent posted in this thread in quite awhile. Ive posted the video 3 times, in three different threads. How is that excessive?

Perhaps you should look at the repeated content of others lately on this thread to understand the meaning of excessive repetition.

But even if they are and I am, what is it to you? Do your eyes burn or something? lol

he is entertaining but he doesn’t have the slightest idea what he is talking about as pertains to jazz in the 1980s…

Why did he keep buying them if they were “abominations”? I know he explained in the one video I actually made or through but it didn’t seem like a legit reason from what I can remember.

He’s entertaining in the same way stepping on a sharp object is.

It’s tiresome to see the same content posted repeatedly, but there’s a forum solution for that.

Yeah, I think you missed or ignored my point completely.

But yeah, its called the ignore feature, if my post or anyones post is too burdensome for you, then have at the ignore button.

Yeah, I watched this and am not sure how anyone would conclude he knows his stuff. Maybe he does, but the video is just one big bash fest. I mean how is that any different than the guy who praises every Mofi? Its just as bad. Folks like that are not really helpful at all.

No one here thinks like that. Where is this even coming from?

You’re mixing audiophiles up with the sign stealing Houston Astros of 2017.

I bought my copy based on the YT review by In Groove Mike : I am sure he intimated it was all analogue at the time - will try & check , so even he didn’t know this at the time.

Undercurrent is on AWAITING REPRESS mode on the Mofi website.
Does that mean that they will repress from the analog master tape ? or will they go DSD this time ?

They'll just reuse the stampers they already made, right?

    I guess you are right.
If Mofi confirms, i think i will let me be tempted.

This one was a MoFi silver, which means it wasn't the original master tape. Wonder what tape the source was. Also, there's some distortion on the LP that was apparently present on the tape, so a little digital tweaking might have helped there.

Yet, that one sounds marginally better and to some not better than the original. And certainly not as good as the good japanese pressing.

Yes, i know for the Silver label. For Undercurrent, they say they used a Dolby A analog copy as it is mentioned on their website.
I was simply wondering if they would follow the analog route and reuse the stampers they did for the 2014 reissue or if they would do a DSD master and repress from that DSD-sourced master...
