It wouldn't be a true SHF thread without someone making a post that is totally ignorant, uncalled for, and contributes absolutely nothing to the discussion. Thanks for ensuring we meet our quota.
We really need to create an official SHF t-shirt that reads "I'm just here to tell you I have no interest in this".
The King of Queens guy in the Funny or Die clip seemed to be a better Demento than the Office guy from the trailer, but it looks like it's going to be pretty funny.
They should have had a pane of glass in the jail and had Gary Cole press his Hawaiian shirt up against it Midnight Express style.

I shall watch this with some beers and a pizza when its on one of my streaming services guaranteed. Seeing the trailer it appears to be as accurate (seriously) as any other Hollywood biopic so why not?
I will probably watch this later tonight- that is, if the severe weather we're supposed to be getting today doesn't knock out our power (or worse). What I am still hoping to see is the long promised documentary of Barry Hansen, a.k.a. Dr. Demento.
...or someone who ostensibly dislikes the comment and yet further propagates it by quoting it seven months after it should have sank like a stone.
Just watched it, not that Good. Would have rather it been an actual bio-flick then what they did. Took a 2 min sketch and tried to make a movie out of that. A lot of nice cameos though.
I just got done watching, and I enjoyed it for what it is- a parody of biopics. There are some real laugh-out-loud moments but there are a few scenes that had me wondering what the producer (or Weird Al) was thinking. Overall it was fun and kind of reminded me of a cross between UHF and Blazing Saddles.
Watched it this evening. It was everything I wanted it to be, and only a slightly more distorted biopic than Bohemian Rhapsody.
